Lately Jordan brand has been retroing many og colorways, and it is rumored that this coming Black Friday they will be retroing yet another classic the Air Jordan 6 "Black Infared". Is it more or are these trash compared to the recent retros?  I made this thread to discuss other classics ruined, feel free to post them in the comments! Another example is the Carmine 6, a sought after color way and a classic in some people's eyes ruined with this 2014 retro.

In my opinion the 2010 retro is 10x more cleaner then these retros
 
I dislike the reflective thing , I heard its closer to the og . I just like the plain black and no gold sticking out , but that's just me . I really like the re-retroing on the classics this year except for the quality but I like the bright infared , because infared is bright . The Carmine's were a pass anyways , I have a deep hatred for the Carmine's I think there clownish looking . The sport blues are nice too . I guess I like bright colors . I wouldn't classify anything as ruined the shoe just isn't as comfortable as they used to be

Its the same old song. Unfortunately, I've heard it since the 2000 retro.

Face facts, retro's will never hold a candle to originals. They'll keep deteriorating as time goes on.

unless you're new, in which case what do you know about classics?

infrared is very hot pink
reflective material is supposed to be there.

the 2010's are trash, i felt ashamed every wear. not the tone of red or lack of reflector, but that nubuck.

blegh, people like me who have worn sixes since 91, why relive the same model over and over? that time is gone, those shoes are done. out with the old, in with the new.

say no to retros
 
Are we really complaining bout the 3M?

JB finally does us some justice, and we still got people complaining..

Without me buying that's one more pair for them. :smile:

The hassle and price have become too great for the little pleasure I get from retreading age worn ground.

I think I finally grew up :wink:. Took long enough hahah!
 
This is like beating a dead horse huh? It's a known fact JB quality has went downhill but what ya gonna do? If you want the OGs then fork up the cash and get'em. Started wearing OGs since 95, yea things have changed but I'm still copping retros here n there.

Not really seeing Adiddas or other brands coming out with stuff I like, so even though JB sometimes doesn't have the best quality, I'm still copping because I like the shoes overall.
 
Hell i thought the Carmines were pretty damn nice. Im really happy with my pair. Def wouldnt say they "butchered" it.
