YO! The Official Jay Z post...

Party Life is ridiculously smooth. Makes me want to fire one up with a good brew, and I don't even blaze like that.
"Sriracha is made from sun ripen chilies which are ground into a smooth paste along with garlic. It is excellent in soups, sauces, pastas, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, chowmein or on anything else to give it a delicious, spicy taste."

Jay's lyrical ability and flow is obviously not up to par as it was in previous years, But this is just good, solid music.

the reason I like Jay as an artist is because his music actually means something. for the most part he doesn't just say just to say it. the way rap is right now, the listeners have forgotten how to listen because no one forces them to. think about it, how many times have you heard a rapper spit a line that has nothing to do with anything? like if it's not a punchline, it might as well not even be a line. don't listen to hov like that.

Jay-Z got lucky because if it wasnt for this movie his career would probably be on a serious downturn. It just so happens that it came out at the same time he lieks to release his albums and after watching it, it looks like Jay would make an album because of it.

Im glad wayne didnt try to "spit" on Hello Brooklyn a la Barry Bonds or he woulda ruined another song, its a nice lil banger though.

The rest of the album is crazy, his flow definitely isnt as effortless but he still gets the job done, lyrically he hasnt lost a step.

I dont know where the album ranks among his best but u can definitely throw it in the pack with whatever u say his best work is.

only time will really tell though

I'm actually quite impressed by this album. I think it's the best album that's been released this year so far.

"Hello Brooklyn 2.0Z" is so horrible. I think it doesn't fit in with the rest of the songs.

"Say Hello" is my joint.

Upon further review, Fallin is the best track on the cd(aside from ignorant @#%$)

^I just pictured that scene in American Gangster the movie when i read that part of the verse. Jay just said it like it was him, that was incredible no lie!

to see how alot of the lyrics correlate to some scenes in the movie, really helps you to better appreciated the album.

The album seems to be getting great reviews by the media.

The only thing that has a chance of being better this year is MM3...Jay went in on this.

album is 4.75 mics MINIMUM for me. but im a huge stan so I give it the stan 5 mics.

probably 4th behind RD BP and TBA. Time will tell if it goes into third place or not.

Im' loving it. rocafella havin the 2 best rteleases this year. if free and beans come correct like i think they will the roc >>2007 hip hop.

Now explain to me what holding out does? It kills me when dudes be crying over and over about holding out. If you like the artist, you'll be ride or die and buy the album if you like it or not.

It's a special treat for me when I get to hear it early. I already know I'm going to spend $10 on it regardless. I thought holding out was something that only virgin teen females did

im lookin through the black album tracklisting and im tryna wonder why yall place it up there so highly and say that this isnt better than TBA...I mean for me, December 4th, Justify my Thug, and Moment of Clarity aren't as good as my least 3 favorite songs on AG..but to each (or should i say to NT) its own...Hello Brooklyn Knocks in the system the hate for that song is rediculous...anyways

I remember when TBA first came out people on here was talkin about 2 things...how amazing Encore was and how much Hov has fallen off since his previous work...Seems like to me anytime Jay drops an album, yall seem to think that he has fallen off more and more. I refuse to believe that though when u hear him spittin on songs such as Prelude and Beach Chair on KC, and on this album, Nearly EVERY song....This album is straight BANANAS..i wont call it a classic though...

And o yeah reguarding his flow, I loved Reasonable Doubt just a much as the next person, it has most of my all time favorite Jay songs, but even Jay admitted himself that he used to record those songs without reguards to structure, flow etc...it sounded good but i do believe his flow is as good now as its ever been..on par with Blueprint.. i guess its just me though..See: American Dreamin, No Hook, Say Hello, Party Life...

yall see Jay on letterman describing the album?

How it progresses the whole time and thats why fallin is at the end or whatever

^Yea man it was a good interview, but truthfull anyone who actually really listened to the album knew that part already

Oh, and for the record... some Jay-z haters get irritating and I'll tell you why. Everytime an album from him drops, they say its wack and not the same as before. Then you see the same idiots BACKTRACK 2-3 years later and claim that album was hot and now his NEW stuff is wack.

There are several people on NT who I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER said The Black Album was weak and kinda average when it first dropped and that Streets Disciple ****ted all over it
indifferent.gif
.

And now its the concensus 3rd best album from Hov and his new joint is wack and doesn't compare to that?

Same people that said Kingdom Come was TRASH and the worst of his career, and now it's better than his new joint??

Eff outta here
