What's Up?

I will be in Seattle this coming weekend. Will be there for 3 days and 4 nights. Don't really have a plan of what I'm going to do or where I'm going so I'm asking for a little help.

Any places that are a MUST SEE for a visitor?

How's the FOOD out there? If you've seen my posts or know who I am, you know I like to eat lol, so any recommendations?

What about the nightlife out there, any dope spots?

Thinking about going to the Seattle Sounder game on Sunday night, don't like MLS at all but I've heard that the atmosphere is pretty dope for Sounders game, specially this game since it's the derby.

I will be out there with my girl, so not too sure about asking about strip clubs and what not

Any info/help is appreciated, and THANK YOU.

Hey Man,

I have only lived here for about 18 months but here are the places that me and my girl have visited in Seattle so far. Hope this helps on your trip.

Sights

- Space Needle

- EMP Museum (Music/Pop Culture Museum with a Nirvana Exhibit)

- Chihuly Garden and Glass (Near Space Needle and EMP. I think it’s the artist that did those glass flowers and sculptures at the bellagio hotel in Las Vegas)

- Kerry Park (great view of the Seattle City Skyline

- Pike Place Market (be sure to check out the Gum Wall, Fish Tossing, and the Cafe from Sleepless in Seattle

- Jimi Hendrix Statue

- Bruce Lee’s Grave

- First Starbucks (Don’t go to the Starbucks that is across the street from the Seattle Target. That is NOT the First Starbucks. The first starbucks is nearby a place called Le Panier)

- The Great Wheel

Food

- Gourmet Dog Japan (Japanese Style Hot dogs)

- Biscuit ***** (Crazy Biscuit Sandwiches)

- el gaucho (got steaks and what not)

- aqua (seafood)

- Oskar’s Kitchen (Owned by former Sonic Shawn Kemp. Sometimes he’s there and says hi to the guests)

- Kylies Chicago Pizza

- Lunchbox Laboratory (Burgers, alcoholic/non alcoholic shakes, cocktails)

- The wandering Goose (Fried Chicken, Pies)

- Taylor Shellfish (Fresh Oysters at a reasonable price)

Shopping

- Pacific Place (small mall with the usual shops)

- Niketown Seattle

- Westfield Center (really small mall)

- Sneaker City (has converses, a few new balances, some nikes but nothing really stood out to me)

- Throwbacks Northwest (Vintage and New Sports Clothing and Apparel)

- Alive and Well (Street Wear Clothing)

- Stussy Seattle

- 35th Street North Skateshop (Skateboarding Shoes and Clothing)

- Officials Vintage (Vintage Sports Clothes. Located above 35th Street North Skateshop)

Adding to the list:

- Kayaking/stand up paddle boarding  on South Lake Union or visiting the Center for Wooden boats for a free mini tour of the lake on a steam boat

- Lots of hiking around, one of the good ones is Snow Lake that is about 6 miles round trip and is about 50 minutes away from Seattle

- Not trying to push it, but if yall like to gamble a bit (RESPONSIBLY) there is Snoqualmie Casino nearby kinda close to Snow Lake

FOOD in Bellevue (15 minutes away from Seattle):

- Ishoni (Japanese BBQ in Bellevue)

- Din Tai Fung (got these crazy soup dumplings from Taiwan, only a few of these restaurants worldwide and one is in Bellevue)

- Santouka (Japanese ramen)

FOOD/Wine/Beer:

- Check out Woodinville, they have Red Hook Brewery with $5 brew tours with pints that you can drink and lots of wineries if yall are into that kind of stuff

FOOD in Seattle:

- Shiro's (Shiro was an apprentice for Jiro from Jiro Dreams of sushi)

- Paseo for Caribbean sandwiches that are good

i recommend the fremont brewing company, stoup's and reuben's brews also.

blue star in wallingford was my favorite lunch, and our best dinner was at la isla.
breakfast coffee/breads at every place we went to were amazing.

seattle makes me feel like anything i pick will be great.
i had a great time and want to go back again soon!

I'm going to be visiting Seattle for the first time this summer.

I booked my plane ticket for June 12th to June 14th.

I'll be running the Rock N Roll Seattle Half Marathon. The start and finish is mainly in the Capitol Hill area.

My niece is living out there and going to school at the University Of Washington. She recommended to me to stay in the Wallingford, Raveena, or Fremont areas which are close to the University district and I guess not to far from Downtown Seattle ad Capitol Hill. My niece knows the area and will be showing me around town.

I've been checking out spots in those areas on airbnb.com and can't really make up my mind where I want to stay at.

Also I'm debating if I want to rent a car for the trip or if I want to just use uber and public transportation.

Right now expedia & orbitz are pretty cheap at $20 a day for compact or midsize rent a car.

I'd appreciate it if any NT'ers could give me some advice.
