Moms bought me and my brother an NES so we werent getting a Gameboy Didn't matter since other kids in the complex had one, swapping games and systems so much and always getting your stuff back; I miss those days
Didn't get my first Gameboy until the Teal Gameboy Color w/ Pokemon Yellow. Hustled a dude to get Pokemon Blue for free
I used to use AAA batteries and foil when I ran out of fresh AA's

I slept over this dude's house one time and thought he stole my Pokémon Gold, so I somehow ended getting his Blue. MONTHS later I come to find out it was in a drawer in my mother's room for some reason
Wish I was hip to that AAA trick when it mattered

I remember when my moms took me to but my first game boy it was a gameboy color and like a dumbass I bought the Pokemon trading card game instead of yellow or blue versions because the box actually said gameboy color on the side SMH

I had an OG Gameboy and 3 Gameboy colors. When I went to college my freshman year, I came back and my fam gave them all away...I was so mad that summer. Childhood memories on those. I even had that magnifying glass on the OG Gameboy with a light haha.

yeah pokemon tcg was actually really good. If you had pokemon blue, trading card game and pokemon pinball that was all you needed in life. I remember my dad washed my pants that had my trading card game cartridge in it. Could never save games on it again
