That sound? It's the collective crack of millions of hearts breaking all over the world. A source confirms to Us Weekly that Ryan Gosling and his longtime girlfriend, Eva Mendes, are expecting a baby together.
An insider confirmed the news after rumors surfaced earlier on Wednesday, July 9, that the Hitch actress is seven months pregnant.
This will be the first child for Mendes, 40, and Gosling, 33, who costarred as parents in 2013's Place Beyond the Pines. The couple have been dating for nearly three years, since the fall of 2011.
Earlier this year, Mendes laughed off pregnancy chatter in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. "It's so ridiculous," she said at the time. "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out." That, apparently, was enough to set off the rumor mill.
Gosling, too, was—indirectly—involved in some baby buzz this year, when a fake Facebook page for the actor posted an update saying that the Notebook hunk had adopted a baby boy.
