Constantine TV

I expected this show to be a little more exciting. Last 2 episodes have been ok.

nbc won't order the last 9 episodes. season 1 will end after the 13th episode. if viewership picks up on the remaining episodes then there will be a 2nd season.

Kind of sucks, feel like it is in a bad timeslot.

I liked the pilot but I haven't been able to watch any other episode just because it is on a Friday night.

^yeah I've come to realize any show that gets the Friday timeslot is more than likely SOL from the get go.

Less episodes is good in my book. 22 is just wayyy too much. Even though I enjoy the show Id like to move to a different show.
IMO it should be a law that no show can go over 13 episodes

Grimm seems to be able to survive on Fridays. I haven't watched that show before but have caught an episode recently before Constantine airs and find it more interesting than Constantine. Haven't watched Constantine in 2 weeks. Need to catch up and see if the episodes get more entertaining.

Grimm is the ****.

Can't even lie I been stopped keeping up with this show  :smh:

I think I had the ep after the one with Papa Midnight on in the background and like I half watched it. Maybe saw a bit of the ep after that but I'm truly lost.

At this point Imma just wait until the season is done. Watch all the eps in one go and then see if it got renewed for a 2nd season.

Looking at the ratings, seems like Grimm is only 0.2 higher and it has an earlier air time of 9pm, I think that is still considered primetime? Not to mention that the also use a bunch of well known fairy tale characters. I don't watch the show but didn't they just capitalize on Frozens popularity by adapting those characters to the show as well? I also remember them using the Wizard of Oz witches, more specifically the main character from the very popular play Wicked?

None of the characters on Grimm are based on Frozen.

You're thinking about Once Upon A Time.

Grimm characters are based loosely on the Grimm fairy tales.

Grimm isn't that good to me but I think like Supernatural it found a loyal audience so despite Fridays being a death slot for most other new shows it's not for them. If I remember right the show did not start out on Fridays but got moved there and still managed to prosper enough. I thought the series would be cancelled by S2 but somehow it's still here.

Reminds me of Hell on Wheels and how they moved to Saturday prime time and got like 2 more seasons of story out of it.

Has the story gotten better? Haven't watched since episode 3. I got bored watching this show.

Hard to say. Objectively no it hasnt, but I still like this show. It just needs better writers. But Im guessing the budget is beyond small for that to happen.

Don't know what Zed was thinking bringing ole boy back to the crib.

I know she wanted to hold him until John and Chaz came back, but you could see that blowing up in her face a mile away.

"Constantine" Executive Producer Announces Series Officially Dead

A sad day for #Constantine. More in link below. #Hellblazers #SaveConstantine

I promised I'd share news when I had it -- sadly, that news is not good. The cast and writers of Constantine are being released from their contracts. The studio tried to find a new home for the show, for which we're forever grateful, but those efforts didn't pan out. I'm sorry, I wasn't provided any information on the attempts to sell the show elsewhere. All I can report is that the show is over.

Many ingredients went into this TV series. From the dedicated cast that breathed these characters to life, led by Matt Ryan as the comic-made-flesh embodiment of John Constantine, to the exceptionality talented crew that put unreal images on screen, to the original Hellblazer writers and artists who gifted us a universe.

As a general principle, writers don't choose a writing career to achieve stardom. Whatever demons or insecurities drove them to find freedom of expression through written words generally keeps writers comfortably obscure behind their words. Nor do people choose writing as a means to financial freedom. I'd venture to guess that most who set out to write professionally never receive a paycheck for their hopeful scribbles or key strokes.

In fact, nobody I know ever chose a writing career -- it chose them. You write because that's what you do. Like breathing, it just happens and you have to do it and you just hope that someday somebody out there notices what you're trying to say.

If that's the dream of writers, than the writers of Constantine lived the dream, because we're leaving behind wild and passionate fans who believe in and were moved by what we tried to do. To leave such a significant, dedicated and active fan base on the table -- that's the real sadness. You all deserve many years of the series we set out to make, and we're disappointed that we couldn't deliver that to you. The good news is that Constantine will live on for years in many more forms. But our time as caretakers has ended.

Thank you for letting us in.

So yeah I gave up on this back around ep 5 but I did like the idea of this show moving to the CW. That would've got me to give it another chance solely off of how much I enjoyed the 1st season of Flash and would've liked to see how the guy playing Constantine interacted in that universe.

This is the example case of how the movie > TV series.

I really liked the movie, but this show just dragged.
