custom Jordan 8 help!

I have been working in some custom 8s (slowly but surely). I'm using the chrome 8s. Is there a way to remove the sole safely without messing the whole thing up? I'm adding materials to all the layers and the 8s have a lot of layers so I need to get under the soles. Would anyone have some info? Help please
