Hollywood needs to stop with the whitewashing vol. Exodus: Gods and Kings

Seriously.. You guys need to get over yourselves, ancient Egyptians were not black. Calm down with that pride, you are worried about the roles and portraying of black people in Hollywood, take action. But this ancient Egyptians were black topic is false.

One other thing...dudes love to throw out the term "scientifically proven" as if science hasn't historically been a huge weapon used in propaganda.

Hitler "scientifically proved" that Jews were inferior and thus needed to be exterminated. 

The Eugenics movement against blacks was inspired by Hitler and his views on jewish people.

Yes but their are PLENTY of movie producers who are Jewish or white and want to depict a history which benefits them and they know that based off history things aren't quite accurate. Dudes are acting as if these producers aren't aware of what messages their sending and how the media portrays these times.

Please explain to me how being Jewish makes you want to whitewash history. I know mad Jewish people, and the ones I know, they're even zionistic, and they're definitely biased on the issue of Isreal and Palestine, but they still acknowledge that their heritage comes through Europe and the Jews they learn about and respect most were people of color coming from the Middle East and Africa.
 
I think the most alarming thing about Exodus is that they changed the Sphinx up.

You ALL should be asking yourselves why they did that. If it's just a movie...if it's just for entertainment...why did they create a CGI Sphinx with Euro features.

Bro... I AM EGYPTIAN. I was born and raised and lived in god dam Giza for 10 years. There is a huge difference between saying were black and what our features and skin colour is. You want to see what indigenous people look like in the southern most part of Egypt??? This is in Luxor. Which is real south Egypt. That's me on the far right.

Yes i understand that Film companies are looking to bring in the most money off of these films but even then that is not SOLELY the reason behind them blatantly showcasing a certain view of history in every single hollywood film.

Bruh. The Egyptians in Egypt now are NOT the same Egyptians that were in Egypt thousands of years ago.

Just like the Americans in America now are NOT the same Americans that were in America thousands of years ago.

The people of Kemet were eventually mixed with invading Libyans, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Arabs and Western Europeans.

Do you REALLY think the indigenous people of that land look exactly as the "Egyptians" today? 

How the hell is that a picture of indigenous people? Is that photo thousands of years old?

I don't know about the Jews you personally know, nor do i know any Jewish people on a level like that, so i'm basing my opinions on what the majority of Jewish people in Hollywood & producers have showed me while being on this Earth.

I'm talking about the message here... Do you not see the difference between Black people thinking that their history comes in the forms of slaves & peasants to Europeans compared to knowing their ancestry also includes great Kings & Queens & spearheading some great advancements in civilization. Whites in american culture have ALWAYS depicted blacks as being subservient to whites and being placed in an inferior role. When that vision is CONSTANTLY being beaten into your head through media i have to believe it's a precedent involved somewhere.

so you mean to tell me showcasing a certain negative stigma over a race & community you routinely make money off of doesn't benefit them? Less opportunities for African American actors = more opportunity for Caucasian actors, The less people know about their past the easier it is for those people to be controlled (Which on the Media side of things) The Jewish community owns a large portion of that and have a heavy hand in cultivating what black culture "should" like.

How is this going to "help" sell their movie, how is changing minor details in the movie as small as this just them wanting to Gross the most money. Hollywood execs know good and god damn well what images are going onto these screens and the consequences that come along with promoting certain ideas in media.

Yo I didn't say we don't have dark skin, and often times I am lumped in racial categorization that is complicated. A lot of Egyptians go through that, since we are neither Arab, Caucasian, or black. Were just North African. That's how people from North Africa look.

As dark as some of our skin maybe, we are still not African American black. Those features Are different. All good though yo.

Those people are indigenous because they are tribe based people that never left that land.

And yes for sure there were black people amongst the ancient Egyptians because there clear paintings that show that, but they also show different skin colours. I said it numerous times Egyptians have mad shades but to say all ancient Egypt was black is ridiculous and you are trying to give a false identity
