has anyone heard about this or checked it out? The movie started filming in 2002 with 7 year old Ellar Coltrane and finished filming when he was 18 years old.

Movie is getting crazy reviews; it's 100% on RT out of 97 reviews

opened yesterday; going to check it out tomorrow

read about this on Nt a few years back.
.... if you wnt to see a movie kinda like this, following a child through growth.Hoop Dreams is recommended

Amazing concept. I heard about this movie yesterday. Supposedly it's a real tear-jerker.

Big fan of Richard Linklater.

I heard about this project years ago and I'm definitely checking it out.

Saw this yesterday. Probably the best film I've ever seen regardless of genre.

I love indie films but something about this movie just comes off as completely lame. I'm not sure how to put it into words but I feel like the concept of following the story of a boy growing up is borderline unoriginal. The best way I can put it is... you can take ANYONE'S life story... get a good director, get some good actors, add some good production and BOOM you have an award winning movie on your hands.

Ehhh then why has no one done it before?

I guess people don't have to make sense when they post. But that's normal on nt.

Want to see this movie.

I'm confused is it a docu-drama sprinkled with actors. Or did they just complete part of the film every time the main character grew up. Shed light on it brethren.

it's a drama about a boy growing up; they use the same boy so you get the true feel of him as he ages, they filmed a little bit every year for 12 years
