Any mattress experts on here?

need a new mattress and pillow set... does anybody know what's the best bang for the buck? i know these tempur-pedic mattresses go as high as $3000 for the higher end models... i don't really want to pay that much. what's my best options for $800-$1200?
 
Met a broad in a bar that worked in corporate for a big mattress company. Said the markup was absurd. Should be paying a third of the price they list.
 
If you're looking for bang-for-buck then try Sam's Club or Costco.
I bought a Sealy Perfect Sleeper Mattress and Box Springs Set for my guest bedroom two weeks ago at only $425.
 
I don't know anyone who knows mattresses

I go to store lay down and try figure which is the nicest in my price rang. Speaking of price range I don't even know what's cheap or expensive or not either.
 
theres a guy in the bachelor pad thread that sells them. he said look into serta or sealy I forgot which one? anything under $800 is cheap stuff. dont buy foam or padded tops that you attach but the ones the mattress has it sewed into
