RAIDER NATION Season THREAD:

Pryor looking forward to playing Oakland

RENTON, Wash. -- Quarterback Terrelle Pryor returns to Oakland Thursday night to play against the team he wanted to leave before being traded to Seattle.

Pryor
"I told them I wanted to be traded," Pryor said Monday. "It took a while for them to trade me."

Oakland traded Pryor to Seattle on April 21st for a seventh-round draft choice.

"At first they didn't want to, but at the end of the day, I'm here," Pryor said. "Now I have an opportunity to go play against some [former] teammates and friends and some good players. That's what I look forward to."

Thursday could be a make-or-break moment for Pryor, who is trying to make the team as a third quarterback for the Seahawks.

Pryor played briefly in the second half of the 34-6 victory over the Bears Friday night, but he was 0-for-2 with an interception.

"I didn't even know I was going in," Pryor said. "I was just sitting on the bench. That's my fault and I have to own up to that. I threw a pick, even though I didn't know I was going in. It is what it is."

Pryor has a 29.9 passer rating for the preseason, ranking 111th out of the 114 quarterbacks who have taken a snap.

"I want to clean up some stuff from last week," Pryor said. "That's it. I just want to play better. I just want to make plays and not try to do too much."

29.9 :x god damn

If Schaub is out theres really no reason Carr should start vs Seattle. Let McGloin take #1.

I would do McGloin first half, Carr second half. If they were smart they would look at McG against a real defense, I don't think they should be evaluating Carr as a starter. Let him sit and learn, why rush him into the fire.

Man you don't throw Carr into the fire that is Seattle on his first start  I think DA said he's gonna be 2nd string regardless if Schaub plays or not, or at least that's what I read from Vic I think.
I just really wish Schaub wasn't on this team man, I'll back him as long as he's the guy for us but now I'm thinking Reggie should've just gave Carson that guaranteed money.

@zube42  Exactly what i thought when they let Carson walk. He was better than any option we had. should have just paid him.

better yet, (i know ya'll hate bringing up that season) but if Jason Campbell would have never got hurt that team was in the playoffs and that's where it all fell apart. that injury sent us back in a tail spin and haven't been very competitive since.......

Me and I think Tru3 brought that up in the NFL season thread. That was his breakthrough year to put it all together and that **** happens :smh:
That offense under Hue was dirty (regardless of the PA deep ball on the first play of every game  ), JC and DMC going down hurt a lot that year. Wasn't DMC averaging like 7.something a carry then? :x I won't even get started on an emotional McFadden rant

I was at that SD game when Denver lost and us beating SD would've meant playoffs. At half I was ready to cry literally out of joy, after that game my heart was broken more than when I got dumped by my first girl  :frown:

yeah Hue did a great job with that O. Campbell was balling, McFadden led the league in rushing until he went down. if Sebass makes that FG in Arizona we are in. And there was like 4 or 5 other games we had in the bag. The Detroit game at home, that AZ game with Sebass missed FG, the game at Buffalo..... man could have been a 11-5 12-4 season if we had that good ole luck on our side.....

I was there too. And if JC didn't get hurt this team would be in much better shape today. Those two picks we lost :smh:

Campbell's career has gone the same since that injury, went from a possible hero in Oakland to a bench warmer in Cleveland.............

I don't know why I always think your sn is Tru3Blu3s when I damn know you have the Bebop sn :smh:

I was so disappointed when Seabass missed that AZ FG. To think that was the difference in the season man.

man when he missed that **** i knew we were doomed from that point, Sebass don't miss those man. but even the Detroit game, those crazy *** passes to Calvin in the 4th Qtr. That season was just incredible with the type of games we were in.

MajinZuub MajinZuub speaking of Bebop, have you heard about the Blu-Ray release? I pre-ordered both versions coming out :smh: had to do it.

Man I am tempted to do the same  **** holds a special place in my heart so I feel it's ok for me to do it. I started with DBZ but man Bebop just took me to another place when I first watched it. Champloo got me with the feels pretty tough too.

Not just the 2 pick.  Since then we've used a whole draft class looking for a QB.  This team is a draft class behind.

Palmer - 1st & 2nd

Wilson - 3rd

Pryor - 3rd

Flynn -  5th & 6th

Schaub - 6th

Not only have we used a whole draft class but a decade of searching for someone to lead this offense.
