Brooklyn girls vol. Hipsters

I hate hipsters.

Really though it was salvation for the white guy. They found their "style"

Unfortunately hipsters has crossed the color barrier. In SF, almost every damn young asian guy has that parted hair style. They'd grow the beard too if we had the pubic hair for it. But it's like they are all factory made now. Even the Hypebeast look was unique at it's birth. It's when every damn person starts wearing the same kit when that style gets played.

Lived in East Village for a year now and moving to somewhere just off Montrose on the L line.

I've always been told that the majority of Williamsburg, at least off Bedford and Lorimer, that it's children of wealthy folks looking to "discover" themselves. Sometimes I get that phrase, but who am I to judge?

Whether they're actually poor or come from a wealthy family, most tend to dress the same.

One of my classmates said blame Netflix and the show Girls for changing attitudes.

Patrice O'neal hit the nail on the head.

Everything has lost its meaning. Everyone thinks they're a rebel now.

Tattoos, piercings, hairstyles, clothing....

There's no regional style anymore... no personal style....

You used to be able to look at someone and have a pretty good idea if you would get along or not.... now it's all a facade... bunch of sheep in wolfs clothing....

That's real

Blame the internet for lack of style.

Back in the day you would be able to tell where a person is from based on how they dress. I'm not just talking coasts, or even states. I remember when you can tell what city someone was from based on how they dress. Now, with everyone having an internet connection, everyone dresses and looks the same...

Even hip hop heads and hipsters, fashion wise, is becoming blurry.
