I expect a lot of hate or views without replies. This is one of the best rap albums out of the south. Cham had his flow perfected, the production couldn't have been better, features were solid (minus Lil Wayne), the singing on the hooks and the concepts he ran with The Morning News, The Evenings News, We Breakin Up and a couple others. This album still sounds refreshing today. His first album went Platinum and it was solid but I thought this one, he had found his lane. Album came out and got some love and then faded away. Hip Hop Police was a decent single and then never pushed a second single. Anyone know why?

Props for posting Chamillionaire. Dude is slept on even in Houston :smh:

This album was DOPE, but it didn't have that hit on it like Turn it Up or Ridin Dirty. That's why it faded so fast.

What ever happened to dude????
Seems like he just fell off the face of the earth

He still makes music. but I think his label wanted to change him or something iono. I think he dropped some months ago. It's crazy Cham has so much music but didn't really make a debut til he was albums deep with rapping. I've never checked this out so I'ma put it on my list to listen to.

I use to rock with cham heavy in 11th grade. First day I got my license I banged the first album.

I loved the concept of this album, but his first one was just so much better. Both are lyrically very good, but the beats on this album just didn't hit as hard as his first one. Plus he didn't have the impactful singles on this album like you mentioned.

Cham got bars. I always liked dude.

It just seemed like once the Miami takeover started, him, Paul Wall, and a few other Houston cats got pushed out of the center stage on a mainstream level.

Album is definitely appreciated though :smokin

Speaking of Paul Wall, his Get Money Stay True album wasn't too shabby. I used to play the hell out of that.

Man I have to stop having hope when I go to threads with titles like these :smh:

Chamillionaire quickly got exposed as trash. Nobody wanna hear him jam words together on a catchy tune.

Son was a semi successful poor man's Papoose.

I liked both albums but I thought this one was crisp. Not as many radio friendly songs. It was straight to the point.

Nothing like Papoose. Flow is different, content is different and Cham's singing on the hooks is much appreciated. Don't know how you can play The Morning News or The Evening News and appreciate the content. No garbage on either of those songs. The wittiness of Hip Hop Police, Industry Groupie or We Breakin' Up. Play those five songs and then come back in here.

Couldn't see Chamillionare and Papoose name in the same sentence without thinking this so thanks to whoever brought him up.

That MJ story had me feeling horrible for dude  that's crushing

Yea Zik's my guy but neither are alike and neither are trash

Always liked this song from that Kay Slay album

Just a copy and paste from my Milk Carton thread:

Chamillionaire pretty much fell out of the limelight after 2007, but since then has been steadily releasing mixtapes up until 2011 or 2012, released two EPs called 'Reignfall' and 'Elevate' in 2013, and as of March 2014, released this song called "End of A Knife". I bought a couple songs from both EPs, and they were pretty nice. He's always been one of the best Houston dudes lyrically, but he
doesn't always get his due.

I had his albums. He's trash.

Not the same content as Papoose but the same lack of flow is what I meant when I made the comparison.

Only thing I was really trying to compare was how old and tired their lack of flow and packing words in to their rhymes they both became.

As for Pap he washed up. I was a fan. Got like 20 of his mix tapes but sometimes you gotta stop sticking up for these never was's
