You're giving them too much credit. They just put their names on things that other people make/create and they get a cut of the proceeds

The craziest part here is that the article said it would be 3x as much as she made last year.

As in, she made around 28 million last year.

That's more than most ___s see in a lifetime and she did it with a pretty face and good business sense (or her mom's good business sense if you'd prefer.)

I'm jelly.
