This list stinks.

King of the Hill and Futurama should both be in the top 10.

Plus they totally left out Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

No Ed, Edd, and Eddy? They can take this list and shove it

Family Guy over South Park?? American Dad > Family Guy in its prime, it deserves at least a spot in the top 50 already.

But your in a thread about cartoons.. lol

Cartoons can be smart, witty, funny, have a message, etc. (see: South Park, Futurama, Simpsons). Scooby Doo offers none of those things. It's a stupid cartoon meant for kids and stupid people.

Not liking Scooby Doo because you're an adult is stupid.

So only adult oriented cartoons can make the list?

Simpsons at 1 is def right, even if it's been irrelevant (I know it's still on prime time, but nobody I know still watches it/talks about new eps.)

South Park should be higher and is definitely better than family guy. Imo it should be number 2, but I don't think a super high rating would sit well with some people who just think it's toilet humor.

As an adult, I now know cartoons that were actually decent and which ones sucked. "Recess" is a great example. I enjoyed it at a certain level when I was younger because it was entertaining and you could identify with characters. Later on, I realized that it was really smart, really funny, had well-thought-out plots and was actually quite poignant. It had a purpose that is sorely lacking in almost every other cartoon catered to kids. Another example is Spongebob, which I think is a really great show. I was an adult when it debuted, and even I can admit that it's a great cartoon.

Don't get me wrong, though, I enjoyed some terrible cartoons when I was a kid, but mostly because they were forced on me. There were fewer outlets for such programming back then, and everyone just convinced themselves that these shows were good.

No X-Men and DBZ makes this invalid.

The 90s Spiderman wasn't complete trash it just doesn't hold up well lol

X-Men sucked. Everything about X-Men besides their depictions in video games sucks

No space ghost, scooby doo, duck tales, transformers, speed racer,

basically, out of of all the disney afternoon cartoons, they pick animaniacs ... lulz

Tom & Jerry should be where Looney Tunes is on that list.

without the 90's version of Spider-Man this list is highly suspect. Dora the Explorer?! really?
no G1 Transformers?
no GI Joe?

One thing about network shows is they are more clever than a lot of other cartoons. A **** joke is funny, but a Johnson joke is more clever, that's why Austin Powers was so genius. The best artist can work within/fundamentally change the medium they are working with, you're given a show w/no rules you can do whatever you want, but your given a show and asked to create something different whilst following guidelines...that's genius to me, one reason Seinfeld has stood up so well, they covered complex topics in an approved but still controversial way.

 dude sit down.. going all deep for nothing. It's cartoons just enjoy it for what it is. Simple as that. How in the world can you call Scooby doo a show for stupid people then say a show like south park is smart, wity, etc ?! It's cool if you don't like the show but to say its for stupid people bro. Lol also tom and jerry definitely should of cracked the top 10. Other than that the top 10 list is pretty spot on for cartoons that should be there.
