QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

You can definitely tell how much the NFL has changed by those charts, though. So many current players (and some of which aren't even that good). Passing league.

Honestly, I ain't mad at it. I liked the idea behind it, the thought process, but like Ches said, age comes in to play as well. With Rodgers already 30, he certainly isn't going to reach 500+ TD's as his skills start to decline. He could very well have a great final 6-7 years like Peyton has had, but the late start to Aaron's career slow down any big numbers he might have totaled.

But, as the data showed, per attempt, that's something interesting to observe, and you could find some value in that.

So if you did those numbers yourself Jay, good stuff.

The good thing with A-Rod is that he sat all those years and it's not like he's taken a beating.

Arm strength is gonna go but I think he got 4 - 5 years in him.
Serious question, have you guys already discussed Rodgers' lack of comeback wins? I can dig for the statistics if need be.

He only has six 4th quarter comebacks and ten game-winning drives. Outside of the one SB run, he's also 1-4 in the playoffs.

Really the only 'knocks' on him, and they're pretty minor.

He's been able to front run with the best of them during his career... Career record of 65-35.

Record is 19-22 in games decided by a TD or less... so 22 of 35 L's were within a TD.

Hes won 26 games decided by 15+ and lost only 6.

19-7 in games decided by 8-14.

So a bulk of his losses (62%) have been decided by less than a TD...

Why do we gotta slam a dude for winning or keeping his team in the game 87% of the time?  He either wins or loses by less than a TD. Doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world to me.

25 of those 35 L's came on the road - 10 of the L's coming in his first year starting.

Andrew Luck is tied with Geno Smith for the league lead in interceptions

But naw he doesn't need to cut down on the picks

SP, how many throws by Luck, how many throws by Geno?

Go study your charts better.

Cousins fooled me, a lot, in that Philly game. He's dreadful.

Damn for a minute I thought Luck and/or Russ wasn't going to be the topic of discussion in here...
I'll have some tomorrow for you.

Congrats today btw, whatever you paid Philbin it was worth it.

Game was crazy.  I don't mind the dolphins... I knew they'd give us trouble.  They hurt me in 2010 when I went all the way to GB to see them play at Lambeau though.
