QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

Isn't this so much better than arguing about Luck vs Wilson and/or #Carrbage, though?

there was or is no arguement there at all...

Speaking of Fitz, I've never seen a player rise so much in notoriety quicker than he did in that playoff run.  Dude was hotter than Hansel.

I never seen Marino play so I have nothing to say on that.

Aaron is the prototype tho.

The best combination of intelligence, accuracy, arm talent, mechanics, mobility.

Is Chester bias against AR based on the fact he got stuck with Alex Smith and Kaep?

Just like CP is bias about Jimmy Graham, Gronk>.

I usually agree and respect your football opinions most of the time but you guys are wrong on both.

No one was sadder than Fitz when Kurt retired.

From Kurt Warner to a John Skelton/Kevin Kolb/Derek Anderson/Max Hall/Richard Bartel collab. :x

I'm not biased about Graham and Gronk, I'm right. There's a difference.

Chester plays hard to get on **** like this... Hes holding his true feelings back.

For some reason though I think CP believes everything he writes.

For the love of ******* God, I said he's the best ******* QB in the league and a joy to watch. I may not like the fruity pebble but I respect his abilities. Plus when the Pack lose everybody wins.

Absolutely do. I wouldn't lie to you. Or anyone. We on a damn message board, spittin about sports, **** I gotta lie for?

I've taken all kinda heat for takes on Brady v Manning, my thoughts on Wes bein a pro bowler ( :nerd: ) Calvin, Randy is the GOAT, Marino, Luck/Wilson, and now apparently Graham and Gronk is going to follow me around it seems. *shrugs*

I got no reason to lie to any of you, and I don't plan on doin so.

I kinda hate when people bring up inflated passing numbers and how easy it is to pass nowadays.

If it was that damn easy everyone would do it.

Let it be known, I saw this. Don't think you slipped it past.

Andy Dalton threw for 4,300 last year.
Eli Manning has a 5,000.
Matt Stafford has a 5K
Matt Ryan has a 4700 and a 4500 back to back.
Rookie Andrew Luck went 4400
Josh ******* Freeman went 4K 2 years ago.
Tony Romo went 4900
Rookie Cam went 4K

4,000 yards was a rare thing for the first 60 years of the NFL, and in the last 5 alone, you have **** like that. I didn't even mention the garbage that is Carson Palmer throwing for over 4K three straight years. And there's going to be like 12-13 QB's to do it this year as well. Including yet another member of the 5K passing club. Something that happened once, in the first 65 years of NFL History, will have been done like 10 times the last 5 years.

So, you were saying..........?

Once Peyton, Brady, Brees retire

Were left with Rodgers, Luck, Rivers, Roethlisberger

The QB crop after that looks thin

Jimmy Graham didn't even catch a pass this week. Scrub.

I watched a lot of that game, they are up to something with Jimmy.

They threw a TD to a fullback, and a backup TE, and had Jimmy on the sideline during 1st and goal, twice.
Not one single attempt his direction, this from a QB that's thrown several TD's and INT's throwing to him in triple coverage.

They are trying to hold down his numbers for their contract negotiating, that's the only thing I can think of. I have a Pitt fan here at work, and he was flabbergasted as I was.

And yet, they won. That just pissed him off even more.

Jimmy already signed a new contract though

That's true. I dunno man. It was the only thing I could think of.

They were taking him off the field, to throw to fullbacks.

He played less than half the snaps, but wasn't hurt, that I can tell.

Maybe he missed a meeting, and Payton was punishing him, I have no clue.

All those quarterbacks where some of the best in the league when did that except Andy Dalton.

And since it's so easy and getting easier why isn't it happening now?
