Have you ever thought about style of play matters?

Meaning explosive pass plays are exciting but that doesn't always translate to playoff success

Like in the past decade about like half of the champions aren't asking their quarterback to throw all the time

That Atlanta game is why I defend Russell so much.

I saw everything I needed to see.

That Falcons game was a brilliant performance by Wilson. Easily his best playoff performance.

But the thing is, that Falcons game exemplifies the original point that CP and others like me have been saying. To this point, More often than not in his career, the Seahawks game to game success had very little to do with Wilson. Just look at his playoff career as an example. The one game he truly balled out was the only game the Seahawks lost.

Then we could bring up how he didn't have anyone to throw to and all the others excuses every other quarterback gets.

Dland is right. Falcon game Russ throws for 385, runs for 60, 3 total TD's.

Saints game he completes 9 passes, 100 yards, like 15 rushing, 0 TD's.

Wins Saints game comfortably.
Loses Falcons game.

I never said they were the 2013 Seahawks defense but they were a top ranked defense by 2 points more than the next team

As great the Seahawks were they were only 1 PPG better than the next team

The 2000 Ravens had 3 Pro Bowlers

You don't necessarily need to have a bunch of Pro Bowlers to play good defense

The Killer Bs may have done better in Super Bowl XIX, if Dan Marino hadn't gone 3 and out with errand balls for 3 straight possessions letting Montana gain momentum
