QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

TD catches by LaFell, Gronk, Amendola, Edelman. Simon covering all those dudes?

Simon got cooked by Edelman a couple times. Shane Vareen caught A TON of balls and I'm pretty sure Simon wasn't on him. Pretty sure
It's not like the Pats don't do a good job of exploiting matchups /shrug.  I don't really know but wouldn't surprise me if they did manage to milk those holes in the defense rather than picking on the stars.

now THAT is spot on. that's exactly what they did. my point was it wasn't just simon. they took any matchup they got that favored them. sherman not so much because we don't have that type of WR. but they picked on a number of different other holes in the defense, not just Simon.

What idiot would actively pick on Sherman though?? This isn't Sackorpick we're talking about

i mean duh, they're going to go at him. but again, let's not act like that's all they did. the ball was spread all over the field in that last quarter. Edelman, Vareen, Dola, Gronk.

maybe what makes Brady the best is that he knows not to throw at Sherman for the hell of it. no one exploits matchups and can adapt to do so like TB12 :pimp:

What? Of course every single pass wasn't thrown to Simon. But let's not try and act like a good majority of his success didn't come against Simon

I like how you answered your own question.

There's no doubt the Seahawks defense was beat up and that opened up new holes.  But when you play 40 games in 2 seasons that's going to happen.  Brady obviously deserves credit especially considering Rodgers' putrid performance.  That said, I would have liked to see a healthy Lane, Avril, Thomas, etc. out there.  But that's just part of life in football...

i'd like to see a healthy Gronk against the Giants in 2011, too. or a healthy Wilfork, Mayo, Gronk, and Talib against Denver in 2014. but hey, **** happens

Just watched Jon Schnepp's documentary on that. Real good, interesting if anyone wants to watch.
The Death of Superman Lives.

I was trying to find it on YouTube... Don't you have to buy it to see it?

Yes and No.... :nerd:

Matt Ryan as well... lawd that's a lot of money.

Scott Turner has grown on me. I initially thought what most probably did -- he's cut from the same cloth of a Kyle Shanahan/Brian Schottenheimer -- a prime example of nepotism, but he seems to actually have a clue out there.

That said, we'll see if I sing the same tune when he inevitably gets an OC/HC position.

Rodgers throwing INTs in practice is fascinating. Throws into coverage to test his WRs. That's a sign of a guy trying to improve team.

that must be what stafford has been doing all these years. trying to improve CJ81's game. *weebay gif*

Man maybe I'm tripping and I know he's always been a big guy... But Came Newton looks huge this year... Like a big *** TE or something.
