If he plays well, that's good, it will be better for my school in recruiting and it will help Dan out, if he doesn't I'll let you know.

Joe Philbin.
Alex has been coached by Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, and Andy Reid.
Ryan has grown under Philbin, Mike Sherman, and Lazor.
You'll file that under excuse.
Ryan is actually extremely accurate as a thrower. (When given time).
He's very good on the move, roll outs, moving the pocket.
He's been really good with motion. Helps him get reads on defenses.
He has a near photographic memory. (Tho a lot of QB's have that)
His arm is strong as you can need. That Wallace drop, he threw 65 yards cross field while getting hit. It was a prayer, that hit Wallace on both hands, but fell to the earth.
He's tough as nails. Billion sacks, gets up every time. Lot of QB's break from that. (Hell, he still might if they don't patch this **** soon.)
No "elite" traits. But he's tough, smart, accurate, can make the throws, and he's accurate. Not Rodgers precise, but accurate. Again, drops skew his %'s.
He also protects the ball fairly well, minus some bad luck. Landry drop INT, the Daniel Thomas kick INT ()
The Carolina 52 tip INT, the Buffalo down 19 final play/throw of the game INT and a couple tipped pass ones. (This just off the top of my head).
Add it all up, he's much better than what we've molded him in to.
Now he has a TE's coach for a head coach. Surely that will fix things.
CP you my guy and all but there is a Matt Stafford thread on a Lions' message board where a dude is making these exact same excuses for him.
Stafford has the worse offensive line in the league according to PFF and the Lions are on pace to set a record for the least amount of rushing yards in NFL history.
In 2012 and 2013 the Lions lead the league in dropped passes. Hell he just a had a game winning drive in the league's toughest stadium to play in nullified by a fumble.
All these things are true and if you wanted to you could spin it to justify his poor performance.
Truth of the matter he's just a mediocre quarterback just like Tannehill. It just is what it is.

The other on a tackle from behind. You will also see an INT, down 38-17 late in the game.
I see a ridiculous, two player toe tap of an INT by the Patriots on the sideline

No pic with this one, I don't know what he means by extend into flat.
But it shows he is not thrilled with Bevel, or some of the play designs. Not to mention TE screens, WR lined up in the backfield, RB lined up wide, that stuff doesn't really fool a good defense, right?
So many of these coaches try to be creative, really all they do is waste their own players' time.
I'll grab other games/examples as I find more. I haven't forgotten either of you. Just hard getting time to cut everything and get it dropped in here as coherent as I can.

I mentioned in the NFL thread that it felt like Russ was quicker to start scrambling and just run the I remember him before. Sometimes he would still throw on the run but often it felt like he was going to make that run and that was that. I wasn't sure if that was due to the oline, that's how he always is, or what

He has a scheme and tries to fit it's round peg into square holes throughout the game.
Instead of trying to exploit mismatches and adjust, depending on personnel. He rather force his gameplan and thinking it'll prove right by the end of the game.
I dont get it, ppl have been complaining about Bevell's route concepts..for YEARS. nothing has changed.
Russ' deep ball has been not good this year

imo, he has been making a more intentional effort to bail out of the pocket.
due to poor pass blocking, he's always been a bit antsy.
I remember a play in either 4th quarter or OT against the Bengals, he almost took off immediately when the ball was snapped trying to anticipate the rush (took hesitant step forward and then tried to drop back)...ended up in a failed pass play

The Panthers interception started because he threw it so hard at a Carolina defender, it bounced in the air...yep totally not Tannechills fault.
