Official Slam Dunk Jordan Release Thread

I purchased an add to cart...had someone accidentally destroy my macbook with 90% of my shoe setup on it, so I'm kinda effed this weekend lol. Doesn't look like we have come to an agreement on how much he owes me, so I don't see myself purchasing a new macbook before Saturday morning.

you were saying something about getting locked up in the supreme thread, whatever happened with that situation?

swear some ppl are idiots...they're gonna spend 5 days of their life sitting, doing nothing to pay 250 to jordan.

instead they could work those 5 days and make more than enough money to pay resell for the shoes.

or for the resellers looking to make money of these. even if they make say a 300$ profit, its like 1/3 of minimum wage lol

Whoa whoa whoa

Chill with the common sense around here

You know these kids don't have that type of mental capacity these days lol

So I was chilling in the student union on campus around 10:45 like I do every Tuesday and Thursday after class. I BS around, grab some fruit and just chill until my class at 12:15....I also chill there because that's where campus wifi is on fleek. Usually a couple of my friends come and chill until their classes as well. So you know, I got my 2 windows up chilling on supremes website with my set up and backup plan ready....10:59 comes, shoes add to cart, get to checkout, site is lagging cuz 4,000 people are trying to checkout......as this is happening (has happened to me on foams and other items), one of my friends is careless and spills his entire soda and fries my $1700 mac instantly. I thought I was going to kill someone.

Damn how careless do you gotta be to do that? That is straight ridiculous. How he gonna pay you back?

it's obvious the friend isn't going to pay and he's telling the story prior to posting gofundme link

Exactly. So at this point in just gonna grab an entirely new macbook after just buying that one 3 weeks ago. Cuz to attempt to fix it I'd need I pay for a motherboard which is going to be $800. So I told him, you ruined a $1700 macbook, just give me $800 and I'll call it a day. He said he can give me $200 a month and that's not going to fly. Worst part is I've known him for 10 years and our families go way back and go to the same church, so I'm trying to avoid getting the lawyers involved. But his parents think that he's only responsible for 50%. So my parents laid into them and are giving them a little but of time. But it's starting to get ugly. I think we're being more than fair, we could be pricks and tell em that we need 1700 plus compensation from my mom driving to Philadelphia to dc to get a second opinion on the computer. But we'll see. I'm not crazy hurting for cash, but I'm also in college and I'm not in a position to say "hey man, you destroyed 2k worth of electronics; an apology is all I need" lmao.

Dont do the 200 a month bs, things get testy when you do that. If you don't hound him homie will probably stop paying after 2 months. Also if you just bought the laptop why would they think only half is suitable? That situation sounds bad man.

No way in hell we're doing the 200 a month. Like I said, were being nice about the $800 since it was an accident and I know he's broke. But this happened at a terrible time with preme forces and slam dunks lmao. It's all good tho. I'll either get $800 directly from him or 2k of the lawyers need to get involved. Best believe that lol. Anyways sorry for derailing the thread.

lets be honest not many people want limited shoes................ to keep

of all the limited kicks i own and wear i see no one with no "what the" "GMP pack", or many limted ext's and or cig's or champigns on... all i see is a 1000' carmines and other Gr's

then the on ice cats smh... they limited why ice
It'd be different if those kinda shoes were obtainable though. I mean you always have a shot, but the avg person has slim to no chance for shoes like that unless theyre running something.

Ive struck out on everything limited that I've wanted, that i would wear

but yes i get what youre saying and i agree. Where I live I never run into anyone wearing what i have (not that it matters to me) but there is only a select few of us here in this state that care about shoes like that

It's does

Crowd funding has been around for a bit it's been used by the average person and even spike lee used it a while back to fund a film he wanted to make
Even for situations like his? Ppl paying to get him a new computer

Go fund me terms are far looser so yea

Kickstarter was initially the same way until a guy figured out a technical loop hole and was able to raise money to if I recall make potato salad and wound up raising like 38K(yes I'm serious)

They then changed their terms lol

People can/will donate if they wish it's kinda like panhandling but not really lol

Most people do it for raising money for causes or charities but others have done it for various things

In fact he already has a $5 donation

Even if people donate $1 enough people do it then it adds up

Yea, you right it's not a bad idea. Might try it myself

Lol I don't know, I personally wouldn't want that type of money but you're right, money's money. At the end of the day if I needed 2k quick I'd take it

Yea I feel the same way as you

Personally having read his fund story I wouldn't donate especially with far more serious things on there to donate to but that's me

I mean the reason is because he buys sneakers with it 90% of the time

Not exactly starving or struggling problems lol
