Ronda vs Floyd - Who Wins?

LOL at anybody being deemed jelly because some of y'all are letting the Ronda hype sway your decision.

Like I said dude, wait til she fights somebody with real talent before you say she can beat a man that fights professionally under any rules.

If my comment regarding her demeanor offended you, I apologize. Tough to take her serious when her attitude sucks.

Women's MMA is a joke.

My last image of Royce Gracie was when Matt Hughes was beating his brains out.
what exactly did he beat him with? grappling. not striking on the feet.

Not even MMA's best boxers are the champs in their weight class right now...

JDS throws them hands and still got throttled by Cain the last time they met.  He did however KO him with an overhand from hell in their 2nd meeting.
He ko'd him in their first fight not 2nd. and the reason Cain throttled him is cuz of the threat of Cain's takedowns and constant pressure.

Ok, so for the people saying Floyd can't knockout Ronda are completely wrong. Floyd might not be a ko artist and is known as a defensive fighter but if he lands on Ronda he can ko her no problem.

Also for the cats talking about all he needs to learn is to sprawl....that's how u know they don't know what the **** they talking about. Sprawl is used to counter single leg and double leg takedowns from outside. Ronda is a judo specialist, she gets her takedowns from the clinch, hip tosses, etc

Floyd could train Judo for 2 years he still wouldn't be able to stop it.

Watch the Tate fight again, the one that was in the UFC and tell me she didn't try takedown attempts coming in with her head down. It's foolish to think she wouldn't be a sitting duck coming straight at PBF like that
how exactly can her head be down when 99% of her takedowns came from the clinch? shes not a wrestler...

you have no idea of what youre talking about.

By "a man that fights professionally under any rules" I hope you're saying "No matter what rules are set" not that Floyd is a man who fights under any rules. Cause he doesn't.

Believe me, I thought women's MMA was a joke too. And for the most part, it is. A bunch of women that simply cannot strike like men do, simply do NOT have the fighter's instinct like men do, and simply are not as good of fighters as men are in the UFC when it comes down it. But Ronda is the only acception to that right now. She destroyed ol girl in her last fight. :smh: and she is ridiculously talented.

Write it off as hype, but I know the difference between a hype fighter and a talented fighter.

no seasoned grappler shoots for a takedown with their head down....

in that fight ALL of her takedowns came from the clinch...so what are you talking about sir?

She IS the woman with legitimate talent.

Instead of calling her white trash, why don't you give me legitimate reasons as to why she shouldn't be taken as a serious threat to Floyd, bro? Even though she's beaten all of the women that step in with her?

EDIT: It all makes sense now. Looking at your SN, I can see why your jimmies would be all rustled up from me picking Ronda over Floyd.

She beat everybody Dana hand picked for her, don't act like it's anything else. You really think she compares to even the mediocre male MMA fighters skillwise?

White trash...listen to her and look at the way she acts. Enough said. If me bring her being white into the picture rustles your jimmies, I'm white too.

I've already explained why she isn't a threat, I'm not sure what else to say.

Could've sworn I already said I can't stand Floyd either, but she isn't beating him.

You're misconstruing my SN, bro. I started with Muay Thai and BJJ 14 years ago. Even fought and won the only MMA fight I had way back in 2002. But go ahead and assume I'm strictly a boxer/boxing fan.

Edit: The any man comment meant any man competing in any fight sport.

Floyd will only fight Ronda when she's past her prime ... Until then he will continue to dodge her.

You don't like Rhonda because she puts on the heel act to sell pay per views and picks lesser opponents........ But you like Floyd?

That's how every fight in the UFC goes, unless someone demands a fight and Dana approves. You should know this.

If you've trained for that long, then by now you should have seen / been put in a situation where a Mixed Martial Arts fighter goes against a boxer. Because I have. As a Muay Thai fighter, I sparred against boxers using just hands. Their boxing stance just BEGS for leg kicks and they aren't used to defending from knees / throws. There are A LOT of holes in the boxing game / technique that are only open when put into MMA rules or even just kickboxing rules.

You guys are applying apples to oranges. Just a waste of time. Rhonda would take Floyd in MMA rules, and vice versa. There is really nothing to talk about

I train with Warriors Muay Thai out of Vallejo, CA but I train at the gym in Sacramento, CA. Small place, but good knowledge and traditional Muay Thai. :smokin

If you ever attended any of the IKF fights in Sacramento, our fighters were most likely on it. We had a fighter who was one of their biggest attractions, Ed Abosolo. He's on his way to going pro, training with Ky Hollenbeck and Kevin Ross.

Alec Gonzales, who fought on a card that was in LA when Saenchai and Rungravee Sasiprapa came into the US to fight. Alec won by TKO and Saenchai complimented him on his fighting style. Man that was a sick time.

Fairtex SF? Didn't they change their name or something? Or am I thinking of somewhere else? Either way, Swadee Cahp :pimp:

Yeah the Vallejo gym broke up a bit with Ed and Alec going one way, Kru Trey going the other way and stuff.. it got real complicated but Dino sounds familiar. Kru Trey is out here teaching in Sacramento, and he's the one that taught all those cats. Dino probably helps teach at the Vallejo gym, CSA Combat Sports Academy. Or the one that Alec teaches at, I'm not sure the name.

Sorry to hear about Fairtex SF man :smh: I can't even imagine what I'd do if my home gym closed.

EDIT: Spelled Ed's name wrong

Only person that Rousey hasn't fought that "could" be a challenge to her in Woman MMA is Cris 'Cyborg' Santos...but that would pretty much be the discussion we're having in this thread

Dude, holes or no holes he is winning against a female MMA fighter.

My personal opinion on fight sports would be Muay Thai>boxing>MMA. I care more about channel 7 fights than anything UFC related.

I can see where you are coming from as far as stance and all, but it doesn't change anything in a Ronda/Floyd fight. Ronda isn't proficient in Muay Thai at all and you act like Floyd would just be stood in front of her in a boxer's stance.

She's been ducking cyborg. Making up any excuse why cyborg doesn't deserve a fight with her.

^
Probably a good time for her to fight her then. She's already willing to fight an overweight, rusty Carano.
