But lumping groups of people together and judging them is not right unless they're like pedos or something.
There are bad people in every group. Its when people use a few bad experiences to make blanket statements about entire groups (be it cops, black people, Jewish people, etc) we're all losing.

I don't hate a soul but I do understand that I represent a group of people that are hated for the wrong reason. I know the history of this country and realize that some folks still represent those ideals.

Where is the ignorance? Where am I stereotyping cops. I never said all cops are out there murdering black men. But the reality is there are systematic and institutional practices that are terrible in nature and ingrained in this country's law enforcement and judicial system.

And to blaster i can't remember who I was responding to but what they said was dumb. Was just hoping their ignorant opinion wasn't coming from a minority.
I'm a realist and it ain't only about white folks cause I know my community does ****** up **** too
If there was a thread about negative things solely in the black community i would criticize those folks on the same level.

Ima try to keep this on topic and say I'll do what my mother did for me.
When I was little she taught me that cops were here to help and to ever go to them If I was in trouble.
Then when I was 12 and started going to school by myself in Harlem she gave me the hard truth and told me I was a black male in America and to never give the police a reason to see me as a threat because they would shoot first and ask questions later.
Told me to not say anything and never ever resist arrest cuz you can't bail out a dead man. She also told me if I committed the crime don't call her but I'll leave that out when I give my son the same talk.
Common sense took the two opposing lessons and told me that the cops were still here to help but some of them would kill me if I gave them a reason to. Me being black damn near anything could be a reason so don't be my usual arrogant annoying self when dealing with them.

These threads bring out the emotions from the usual suspects. If you gotta resort to petty name calling and assumptions because you don't like another persons view, then you lost already.
I hope none of you give your kids counter productive advice in regards to dealing with cops that only ends up backfiring on them.
Cops aren't your friends and that should be obvious, the douchebag ones and unnecessary bad expierences people have with cops can taint a persons view towards law enforcement and understandably so given the power cops have.
Still, I rather just use logic and common sense, a power abusing douche with a badge is capable of doing some crazy underhanded stuff where I'm going to end up taking the L. Better to just swallow your pride, take that L and make a complaint afterwards if you did nothing wrong.

Back on topic but you just gotta let **** play out with cops. If they come at you aggressive you have to stay calm. The aggressive ones just want you to slip up so they can do you in

My run ins with the cops were me walking to or from cop'n some bud
