Did Drake make it bigger? Yes. That song was gonna be big regardless. That's why he jumps on these songs, cuz they're already hot. Versace, Tony Montana, he tried to ride Kodak's wave but he gave Drake the stiff arm, 21 Savage wave.

the song was merely a SoundCloud hit before drake hopped on it. you are completely delusional if you think that song would have been a hit without drake hopping on it. it would not have touched radio at all without drake.

If it was that easy to just put drake on a record huh.... dem franchize Boyz would have a few verses by now. Drake catches songs that are buzzing and heating up in clubs/Internet and hops on em. They probably aren't gonna be big billboard hits but they are for sure gonna be big club records. He not a dumb dude, he not just hopping on a song that's going nowhere. Chief keef and Kanye situation comes to mind.

Drake asked for permission to hop on Tuesday and Versace (I think the Migos said they sent him two beats off their tape, one of them being Versace, and he chose Versace); both the Migos and Makkonnen's people said yes.

So this steals waves thing is kinda crazy. When the two biggest examples are him asking for to work with the artist.

Nah I heard he in the writing circles out in LA working so he'll be straight. He was a writer originally.

Mike Will had him in up at Warner on a publishing deal before his own music ever did anything (that's who Mike Will publishing through as well). That's why the OVO deal made sense, he already had a relationship over at Warner. When that went sour they just turned around and bought him out of his OVO deal.
