I don't want Mariota. After watching his appearance on 'Gruden's Camp' from earlier this month, he doesn't scream like he'll fair well here nor does he know how to command a team.

No offense, and I too think Mariota will have at the very least growing pains, but people seriously need to stop basing their entire draft analyses on a 5 minute ESPN montage.

There's dudes on here who watched the games. I remember making a comment about RusellmaniaXVI years back and cats were like "Wilson? EWW!" just because ESPN told them he should have been a 4th or 5th rounder based off height.

Now they lament Rex being vetoed by management when he tried to draft him.

Mariota has elite athleticism and intelligence. Footwork can be taught and he's a great leader and locker room guy. He's prob a 1-2 year project before he's commanding an entire offense, sure, but look at Cam and look at Russell. Marcus is a decent mix of their two skill sets.
