2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

the defense needs to start games better...yesterday & in the preseason we start off slow then kick it up in the 2nd quarter
kinda meant it in like a way that everyone just wants to win, besides the qb situation that is kinda settled right now, there really isn't any distractions at the moment. More of a family then a team

i know what you meant, i was laughing cause "being on the same page" is a given for most teams

What? He's 6'3", HAS a strong arm and was fairly mobile (could pick up yards on bootlegs and short scrambles when he had to.) the knock on him was that he only started for one year and was super green. He also liked to party and smash **** a bit too much for his own good.

If he had been drafted into a west coast offense or a team that actually wanted to groom him as a passer, he'd be a much different player than he was at the end of his jets tenure. Just look what happened when he stepped in for mediocre *** Nick Foles in Philly. Getting into the right system is half the battle.

Rex just wanted him to hand the ball off and throw play actions. We'd see how effective he was rolling out of the pocket then they'd never call that play again.

You mean when he went 4-4 and was extremely mediocre playing for an offensive genius who can make any QB look half-decent?

And his arm wasn't strong. He couldn't muscle balls into tight windows for the life of him and wasn't a particularly adept downfield QB.

Rex ran the football cause he was trash. Jameis Winston was drafted into a hard situation. Same with Derek Carr. Even Mariotta. Sanchez? Nah, loaded defense, amazing running game, good wide receivers. Make every excuse in the world for him but he is trash.

Sanchez did his job in Philly, not his fault they went 4-4. Lost to the Seahawks, split with the Cowboys, beat the Giants and his defense couldn't stop the Skins in a game when Sanchez went 37-50 for 2 td's and 374 yards.

Criticizing Sanchez is such an easy thing to do, dude is a solid player.

Exactly.

PHEW according to Adam Schefter Cromartie sprained his knee, not an ACL tear

+ Mauldin released from the hospital.

Like I said last night, Marcus Williams looked great in place of Cro yesterday. I'd even go as far as letting him sit against Indy, rest up for Week 3 and let Williams get the start.

Liking our chances Monday night, especially if T.Y. is ruled out. The D needs to come out faster than they did against the Browns tho.

Vontae Davis on Marshall (which I think he can overcome) will free up Decker against their weaksauce secondary. Feed Ivory often.
