2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

the fact that the coaching staff hasn't slotted Geno in, or even looked at his direction shows how much they have faith in him.

That plus the news that broke out earlier this year about specific veteran players in the offense stating they don't respect him as a leader and that they don't see him as our long term solution.
They simply just grown tired of his ways.
Fans included.

I get that.

He's not a leader.

He might be terrible.

But the biggest difference...

We know Fitz IS terrible. Fitz coming into this year had the 2nd worst record ever among QB's with 80 starts. He's not good. He gets by with a smart label cause he went to Harvard but he's terrible.

Geno however....the guy played well down the stretch last year and deserved another shot imo. Especially cause he has had ZERO weapons around him in his career so far.

Eli looks incredibly average if he doesn't have OBJ.
Dalton -- AJ Green
Stafford -- Megatron
Ryan -- Jones
Romo -- Dez

You see where I'm going? Geno never has had one of those guys...now we have Marshall who is one of those guys and it's at least worth seeing him with it. Cause there is a very real ceiling when Fitz is your QB.

Geno was afflicated by horrible decision-making his first two years. But he can make some really tough throws. Watching Fitz throw downfield last game was just putrid. All thos bombs to Smith/Marsh are throws Geno can make that he can't.

Go back to the play last year against Green Bay where the timeout was called. That throw Geno made on that play is as tough a throw as a QB can really make. Fitz CANNOT makes that throw. Cause of that, I really think we need to give Geno a shot with this cast.

If he sucks, he's gone after this year and we wash our hands. But Fitz isn't a long-term solution and without one in this league, you are screwed.

Fitz is a frail QB whose body language will become suspect at the end of a 16 game season

Geno needs to show me he can be a team leader and have the locker room's graces...the skill set is very much still there

In short, our QB situation is the worst on our team and thats not a good look for us

Otw to the bagel store to grab breakfast and then it's go time :pimp: .

I think we win as long as the offense plays a sound, true-to-them game. Fitz can't force the ball and the run game needs to be effective.

i could understand the call on Revis but the call on Cro was bad...

ball was uncatchable
