2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

if the Bengals hold this lead & we win next week we'll be playing Houston instead of Denver/Pittsburgh

I'll take playing the Texans first, then we'd have a home game against the steelers/Broncos.

I'll take playing the Texans, but the thought of possibly having to face McCarron  .

This.

I hope the team arent occupied by who they may face in post season. Need to take care of business in Buffalo against Rex who will have his guys highly motivated to spoil the party.

That team quit on fat boy.

I hope so, but they already talking like this is their "Superbowl". Wrecks will have them ready, it's personal and wrecks is great at getting guys up and ready for meaningless games. See the Miami game last year.

One good thing though, Bills have a great track record in Superbowls, so we have that going for us.

i swear no jinx...but whenever rex gets all "this is our superbowl" on teams, they lose. too much emotion from him, not enough logic. like a woman in love.

Jets against your Pats in the Divisional round says otherwise

he didn't have them in a "super bowl frenzy". it was a playoff game for the jets. no extra motivation needed.

this is a meaningless game for buffalo

After the Pats win, Marshall had said he told the team prior to the game "If we win today, do not storm the field like we won the SUper Bowl" but I guess emotions ran a bit after just how they won.

Pace was pretty vocal regarding this Bills game. He said everybody is locked in and knows not to get ahead of themselves. He said when they lost the Thursday night game that he knew it would come down to having to beat them Week 17.

That TNF game was frustrating as hell to watch, we'll get our revenge this Sunday though.

Was that the Devin Smith dropped punt game? That blocked Bills punt that resulted with us getting it within the, what, 15 yard line? And we failed to do a damn thing :x ..

I think Ivory had a fumble too in our own territory that led to a Buffalo score. Chan Gailey & Bowles goofed with trying to convert on 4th down too early tho, had we kicked the 2 FG's we would have won

i expect 2 timeouts to be used on their 1st drive & a lot of dumb penalties from Buffalo

Here's hoping to an over-hyped and out of control Buffalo who will be a flag machine, especially on D.

We need to focus on the basics and get the job done. Im confident of a good result

from PFF:

The Patriots blitzed Ryan Fitzpatrick 9 times on 44 dropbacks resulting in a 55% completion percentage and 4.4 ypa. He completed 65 percent of his passes for 8.1 ypa on the remaining 35 dropbacks.

Breno Giacomini's rough season continued as he rated as the worst overall RT during Week 16 play. (1 sack, 1 hit, 3 hurries. 2nd worst run blocking grade)

James Carpenter was the only member of the O-Line with a positive Pass Blocking Grade

Leonard Williams was the highest rated 3-4 DE against the run in Week 16

Sheldon Richardson continued to cause havoc in the passing game, generating 7 total pressures which was 2nd among peers at his position in Week 16

Demario Davis and Erin Henderson both graded among the top 6 ILB's in run defense in Week 16.

Despite only playing 27 snaps, Lorenzo Mauldin garnered the 3rd best pass rushing grade among all 3-4 OLB's in Week 16. (4 Hurries, 1 Sack)
