JUST HEARD THE GOOD NEWS!

Bryce is a physical beast and a hard worker. He's a spread basketball on turf, run/pass option QB and less athletic than Marcus so I don't know that the anti Mariota people will be too happy. It'll take him time but I think he's the starter by next year.

he needs time to learn so i'm not expecting anything anytime soon.

Maccagnan is having himself a really good draft. Williams, Smith, Mauldin, and now Petty in the 4th.

add in the moves he made during free agency & he made us a respectable team pretty quick.

Thrilled with this pick. The guy has excellent talent and arm strength, yet enough mobility to not be a statue in the pocket. Will be redshirted his rookie year as his downside is his NFL transition. Spend the year teaching him to make it in the pros, and let him compete for the starting job next year.

QB being the most important position on the team, I'd rather the Jets use a pick on a super talented and raw player as a down the road option rather than not draft a QB at all and continue to suck at the position. If after one year the team doesn't think he has a future, they can draft another next year. Never stop drafting QBs until we have our guy.

Yeah, that's why we got Fitzgerald. He has one or two years left. Plus having Chan Galiey is a big bonus. Fitz played well under Galiey. I believe Geno is still our quarterback. I ain't worried since we have Brandon Marshall. He makes your QB better than he is supposed of to be. Let Petty develop for one or two year. Maccagnan has improved much since he left the Texans.

Haha I don't know but probably. Both the Islanders and Mets games were on and everyone there was talking about how exciting a sports day it was and how the Jets were going to draft Marcus and how things were finally turning around.
