2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

Can't say I remember Connor catching the ball for us much  which Bohanon was decent at. He should help out the run game though; maybe we'll get some more explosive runs out of CJ and Ivory.

Thought I'd share with the homies. Watched the Monday night game vs. Bears with Erik Coleman, former safety for you guys. Extremely nice athlete, still a brolic dude. Said two of the hardest RB's to tackle in his playing days were MJD (in his prime) and "Bus" Bettis.

In other news, Laron Landry suspended for PED violation...no surprise there lol

I remember him. Where were you watching with him, NJ or Manhattan?

Barton, don't know y but when ever I think of him its 1 play back in the 04 playoffs vs chargers he got the dumbest personal foul penalty. I was screaming at the tv.They wound up winning so it didn't matter anyways, but man I was fuming. Lol

Didn't Erik Coleman sign with the Falcons? He didn't last too long from what I remember.

Didn't Barton have a bad hit on Boldin a few years ago as well?

Looking at the rest of the division 1-3 isn't terrible, but we need to start putting it together to stay competitive.

That's the frustrating thing. If our offense can be solid we can win the division but the inconsistencies and RZ scoring is just....

All we gotta is run.

Same thing I said in the summer and I'll say it again just RUN RUN RUN

the schedule eases up after these next 3 games, but jeez, at san diego, denver, and at new england all in an 11 day span is tough.

crazy thing though is if the jets were to pull the upset sunday,  and new england and buffalo were to lose which is possible, they would only be half a game out of first

I said since the jump if we got 4-4 in the first 8 weeks I will be pleased but we gotta stick to the ground and pound, once you give a a qb like geno or Sanchez ( who aren't elite) the reins of the offense that's when we fall to peices along with our junk receiving core the last 3 years

yo, I remember that! Chargers was in their redzone too. I was fuming man.

Barton was a solid OLB however when we had our 4-3 system.

I read the Rex book he had released after his second season, and Rex wanted him out after he saw how Barton was treating Gholston. Chastising him. It didn't do no good anyway. Gholston was a bum.

Uh oh geno getting vexed he can't handle the NY pressure....not good

Geno is unraveling and its not a good look. Say what you want to say about Sanchez as a qb, he didn't get the job done, there's no arguing that. But he was able to handle the media and fan scrutiny pretty well considering the magnitude of what it was. If genos getting rustled right now and making it obvious to see, its not a good sign if/when the Vick chants get even more louder and obvious.

Not really comparable cause everything went smooth for Sanch the first two years cause our team was loaded...if he had the same situation and crappy team which Geno is faced with now, I can't imagien he would handle it much better.

I feel what your saying but he had it pretty bad in 2012-13. Dudes making threats to kill him on twitter, fans cheering when he got injured and he never bad mouthed the fanbase or the team. He deserved to get booed off his on field performance but it did seem on a whole other level at times.

Those 2009 and 10 teams were better talent wise though, still scratching my head at some of the moves made that 2011 offseason after the lockout ended though.

I'm kinda hyped for Sunday though. Ill be tailgating with a bunch of heads out in SD. I just hope the team can surprise me in a good way.

i've just about had it with eric decker and his hamstrings .. too early ??

jets got me feelin like i'm raggin :smh:

Never really knew how frustrating hamstring injuries could be until it happens to one of your own players  .Always thought it was a lame excuse of an injury.

I wouldn't use the term "loaded" loosely here. We had a much better offensive line and run attack at the time. But I don't think Sanchez was working with anything special during those AFC championship runs.

Geno Smith actually has the better defense IMO. Sure, we had great pass coverage, but our pass rush was missing. Sanchez was a better "game manager" than Geno.

Sanchez caught a lot of flack once Shotty put too much on his plate. They rushed his growth when they let Thomas Jones go and didn't focus much on the offensive line anymore. Once we lost guys like Allen Faneca and Damien Woody, things got different. Sanchez was at his best when the run game was on. I think if we went out and got someone like Forte after the lockout, Sanchez would've been in better shape.

Decker is the goods. Put him in a team with a good QB and you'll see him do work.

The Jets have experienced star players being unable to play because of hamstring injuries--Darelle Revis.

Seems like his career went south right after the time Randy Moss burned him and took it to the house with that amazing one-handed catch. Revis' hamstring pulled and it was over for him.

Very true. It's also really frustrating with Decker because he is supposed to be our #1 and he hasn't shown any flash of that.

Been making drop after drop in key spots :smh: .
