Trade Sheldon?
NO. He's just got to be smarter. We could get him resigned a little cheaper because of this though.

The overview: A shaky quarterback situation explains why the Jets improved only one spot from last offseason even though they moved up from 26th to 16th in non-QB roster. First-year coach Todd Bowles got relatively high marks (13th overall, down from 12th in 2014), while New York's front office (20th to 12th) and drafting (24th to 16th) prospects got a boost. Most of the vital signs appear positive here, but who is the long-term quarterback? --Mike Sando
The dilemma: We will find out if Bowles' faith in offensive coordinator Chan Gailey is misplaced sooner rather than later. Gailey is being entrusted with getting high-level play out of quarterback Geno Smith -- which most critics think is impossible -- and developing rookie fourth-rounder Bryce Petty, who comes from an offense at Baylor that has very little carry-over to most NFL systems. On paper, the 2015 version of the Jets' defense is as good as any in the league, but the talent on that side of the ball could be wasted if Gailey is not able to work some magic with these quarterbacks. --Louis Riddick
The youth movement: The Jets are loaded on the defensive line. They have three studs at defensive end -- Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Leonard Williams -- along with an excellent run-stopper at defensive tackle (Damon Harrison). So why did the Jets fall to a four-win team in 2014? The draft didn't take care of other positions, which forced the front office to spent big on the secondary and the offensive line in free agency. --John Clayton
“You’ll see a New York Jets ring when we get it,” the cornerback told ESPN on Wednesday.
