2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

Had to be done. Time to move on, wish Rex the best and I really hope he learns from this.

Idizk can kick rocks though

I'd like to see Todd Bowles, but doubt it.

Atlanta fired Mike Smith? I heard they want Rex as a DC. I haven't heard Chi or SF but who knows.

Oakland are dumb.

That's the thing though, this was Rex's first head coaching gig so he was bound to make some mistakes. I'm just mad our franchise was his 'test dummy'

He never fixed those mistakes though. Ex- Players always said Rex wants to win his way. That was ultimately his undoing and down fall.

Man, am I the only one who thinks Rex is not a good head coach? I mean yeah he'd great on d, but seriously , how many games have you watched where it was bad mistake after bad mistake. To many men on feild , wasted time outs. Just a real poor coaching job. I like Rex the person. I'm sure he's great to hang out with, but he had to go. I wish him the best and I'll never foget those two championship runs.

True, he should have corrected that. Would I say he's an overall poor coach? No. He did an amazing job considering the fact that he got squat on offense while he was here. That being said, I felt he should have not had any input on the offense. Clearly it wasn't his strong suit. I place that blame on the ownership.

Part of the problem is rex didn't want an offense. then when he finally saw the way things were he tried to draft Russellmania and some receivers and his GMs vetoed it.

ex can't be forgiven for some of the coaching blunders he made though. He's a great motivator, and a great defensive coach, but he isn't a head coach.

To any college football fans, think Ed Orgeron. Which, as a USC fan it's funny to me this is the 2nd time in a year I'm going through this and having this same convo.
