2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

I loved the move mnade by Mac in the draft. Getting Stacy for a 7th rounder was a solid move. Chan is going to have a lot of weapons to move around. Things are looking up.

Broadway Bryce

anyway...we should look to trade Wilk for a QB. it'd kill me to see Mo leave but i think it's inevitable at this point. he wants to get paid like Suh/Watt & i'd rather give that money to Sheldon.

But what would they do.. have another year go by and then go after a Rivers or Brees? If they were to ever of done that, this was the draft/off-season to.

IMO we need to see what could come of Petty, if not, keep drafting till you finally find a QB.

I don't want to trade Mo, don't see why you can't play all three of those guys together. You win the game at the line of scrimmage, having the potential advantage of those three guys cannot be understated.

It's just Mo won't show up for training until he gets a new contract. More like a big contract. Jets can't do anything to make Mo showing up. Either we give him a new contract or trade him.

I know Maccagnan planned to get his own personal department. I hope he already has his own people running before the Draft.

Is he that disgruntled? I don't really blame him. We spent crazy money on the secondary (especially for returnees Revis and Cro) and Hitman, all the while of telling Mo "not to worry".

Our strength got stronger by adding Williams. Keep it strong, keep Mo here.

Just heard Doug martin won't get signed for the 5th yr for the bucs, too bad we couldn't snag him up

I agree I will only let mo go for a qb

my preference is to keep Mo but if a deal isn't gonna get done we gotta get as much as possible for him.

anyone see the undraftred FA pick ups?

looks like we picked up guys who could've been mid to late round picks. Taiwan Jones from MSU, Deion Barnes from Penn State and Wes Saxton from South Alabama are intriguing names that may end up in the practice squad - or even special teams.

they buddies now.... let's see after week 3.

Geno has no excuses this upcoming season

I assume he's more happy now that he's using a spread system

i keep hearing that Taiwan Jones is gonna be a great player for us...

Per Rich Cimini-

6. Tops among the UDFAs: Remember this name -- Taiwan Jones, a former Michigan State linebacker. Bowles called him "a thumper," adding that he's surprised Jones didn't get drafted. The Jets pounced on him after the draft, making him one of their undrafted free agents.

And I like this quote from Bowles-

5. The Jets won't go near the Brady scandal: Unlike former Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, who had plenty to say about DeflateGate, Bowles wouldn't say much of anything about Tom Brady and his footballs. "It has nothing to do with our team," Bowles said. True, but it will affect the Jets if Brady gets slapped with a six-game suspension. The Patriots host the Jets in their sixth game. You can bet the Jets are keeping a close eye on the situation.

You know damn well Rex would have said "Suspending him through Week 7 sounds just about right to me" with that Rex smirk. Bowles knows it doesn't affect us outright, might as well not entertain it. In Bowles we trust :smokin .
