2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

Glad Kerley found a new home, liked him a lot when he was here even though his playing time dropped significantly. Geno to Kerley seems like so long ago

If we can't get someone to produce in the slot this year, we'll regret letting him go. I need Tompkins and Smith to step up.

If Fitz could throw a deep ball he actually had Smith open a bunch of times this past year on streak routes :smh:

Granted he had a few key drops but he started to play well at the end until he got hurt.

Y'all talking about being happy that Kerley found a new home but he's on Detroit which sucks for him

It's better than no team at all. Or Cleveland.

Still wish there was a way last season (prior to Fitz) that we could have had Stafford brought here. Hell, I'd still take him now.

Kerley is healthy so I was never worried about him not making any roster

I'm not a huge Stafford fan but man he has the potential to eat on this offense :x

Looks like Woody is confident Fitz will take a pay cut and stay with us. I ain't mad!

I know he openly said 'Come back to the Jets' in his presser yesterday; he also mentioned the paycut part or you're guessing?

Either way, I still think weeks later the Jets still have the leverage. But I wouldn't be surprised if they cave in and pay him more than they want just to get it done already.

they interviewed coach Bowles today.

He had the funniest answer to a question about Dee Milliner and what can he bring when healthy...

he said: "well I've never seen him healthy so I dunno."

 Got eeem

Dee is such a frustrating player. He had a good finish during his rookie year but that's it. It's pretty much freak injury after freak injury ever since.

dude is really made out of glass.

I understand sometimes you can't stop freak injuries however, I question his off-season work ethic.

talking about who's going to start opposite of Revis... we forget about our 9th overall pick.

The guy was injured in college. Damaged goods, horrible pick that year.

That was a pretty weak draft overall except for a handful of players; Sheldon (saved us 4 picks later), DeAndre Hopkins, Kyle Long, Eifert.

Round 2 had gems tho - Bell, Jaime Collins, Lacy, Kelce, Mathieu, and Jordan Reed.

Welp, I mean, it's the truth.

That's why Marcus Williams will be big for us. He should be able to step into that roll and be good. Another dude that people don't talk about that hasn't delivered yet is Dexter McDougle. He's another one that was often injured in college and hasn't done ANYTHING with us yet. Idzik was a pure idiot in that draft room.

My guy Dex. I had high hopes for him, man.

dude was actually looking great before his ACL injury.

Couldn't showcase his talent. hopefully he gets more burn in the offseason and can land a job.

You're right about Idzik. F that guy. dude was out of it.

Jets coach Todd Bowles said Brandon Marshall's lobbying efforts to re-sign Ryan Fitzpatrick won't have any impact on the team's decision. "My son wants certain things, too, that his dad says no to," he said, laughing. "It really doesn't matter. I love Brandon to death and he's a good player ... but he doesn't make any decisions about this team."

yo it's crazy... past years, no one would go crazy about signing Ryan Fitzpatrick. No one would care at all really.

now we patiently waiting, hoping Ryan Fitzpatrick signs a deal with the Jets - as our starting QB...
