2019-20 New York Jets season thread. 1-4 (10/21 vs NE MNF)

They should make it Rex's decision to stay and give him a pay cut. His teams has sucked and he hasn't gotten the most out of them. But he hasn't had the personnel, so it isn't completely his fault. He would still suffer for lack of production. But I would fire Dipstik.

Can the Jets make a run?

vs.
Buffalo
KC
Pitts
Buffalo
MIA
MIN
TN
NE

I think these are all winnable games left. How much you think they'll get?

I don't see it, they'll be luck to split in the division. Jet's always seem to lose to Pit, @ KC :smh:

Just
End
The
Season!

So we give Seattle a 6th rounder if he's cut after this season, and a 4th rounder if he's on the team in '15.

Don't see much harm in this trade whatsoever. One of those rare, low risk high reward deals this team can potentially benefit from.

Yeah I originally disliked it cause I thought we were giving up a draft pick of value, but I'm still not crazy about it since Percy seems to have issues with his teammates. Last thing we need is another locker room issue.

Hearing Harvin is happy he's with familiar faces from the league, college and even HS.

Don't know how anyone couldn't like this deal. He walks in from Day 1 is by far the best offensive player on the roster. Draft/Bring in another big player and Suh next season, we'll be moving in the right direction.

Geno got the rest of the season to show and prove imo. He's played pretty well the last two weeks. Now he has another guy to hand the ball to and take the load off his shoulders. Has to continue not turning it over and making smart throws.

Percy wearing #16.

Smh @ the Jets giving away Testaverde and Brad Smith's number like that :smh:

eh, a number is a number.

However, I wonder how Marty will utilize Harvin who can line up at RB, Slot and out. Should be interesting.

I read an article however that this move was not necessarily done to give Rex weapons, but more so Idzik feeling the heat.

Many questions about Idzik and what he's done for this team this off-season, that he needed this kind of trade to kind of silence all the criticism and save his job.

Makes sense.

Regardless, this should benefit Geno now. Another offensive weapon that he can throw to.

Still a bum though....

Honestly, I spent a little time last night convincing myself convincing this team can win go 9-7...it's really not impossible. Just got to take it game by game but we pretty much played the toughest teams we'll face so far. Cupcake schedule after this, if we could somehow win the three before the break, I wouldn't be surprised to see us do what Washington did a few years back.

And yes, we'll prolly only win 4 games from here on out and I'ma tool for believing other wise but it's not as crazy as it seems.

And as for someone mentioning locker room discord, this locker room has been fine. Everyone's stood behind Geno, you haven't heard internal fighting. Aside from the Chargers game, we really could have won every game we've been in so far, just keep stabbing ourselves in the foot. Harvin will be fine, Rex always does well with players like him. Plus, Geno's not a cornball brother like Russell Wilson so no reason him and Harvin won't get along.

It might just be to save face, but Harvin spoke out today saying he's really thrilled to be here, loves what he saw out of Geno in their first practice together and can't wait to line up with Decker.

Geno is a bum though...

Agreed, however it's a couple of weeks to late. We'll see how this works out.

@caplannfl: #Jets WR Jeremy Kerley's 4-year extension is worth $16 M with $5.4 M guaranteed.

Get paid Kerley :smokin .

Happy for him. Happy he'll be with us for at least a few more years; didn't shaft him just because Harvin was brought in.

I really hope Percy works out. Decker/Harvin/Kerley is a nice group for Geno, or whoever plays QB next season, to work with.

Now just pick up some solid corners and a couple OLinemen and we're a playoff team :smokin

Always liked Kerley, came up huge last year in a bunch of 3rd down plays. Optimistic about this Sunday, we better win

Don't even care if we win/lose on Sunday. I think we'll win tho.

Just want to see the offense click 1) coming off a solid game against NE 2) well rested 3) Harvin added .

This is how I feel too, kinda want to see how both Watkins and Harvin do.

Also, I'm glad they locked up Kerley, he's probably one of the better WR Jets have drafted since Cotchery. Now, locked up Mo Wilk damn it.

^ Wilk will get paid, don't worry. He's got 2 years left on his contract now.
