i worry he's just another kaep

A. He's an infinitely better decision maker than Kaepernick

B. True or False, you'd take Kaep over any Jets QB of the past 20 years?

your second question is like asking whether i'd **** a fat chick or a dude

Every QB looks good there, its one read, run or hit a wide open WR. He won't have that in the NFL. You can't compare his decision making because Marcus still plays on Saturdays.

Keap is getting exposed week after week, he's a one trick pony so far as QB IMO.

I'm starting to wonder if you guys have even watched him play... He's every bit as impressive as Andrew Luck was in college, so if you were out there calling Luck overrated too, cool. Otherwise... what is it? Cuz he plays at Oregon?

Luck ran a pro offense, under center and actually threw from the pocket.

These QBs that run around and chuck it to wide open WR never translate well in the league. We see it year after year. Fool's gold IMO.

I think you overestimate what college QBs have to do while at the same time underestimating what Marcus does. Ok it's one read, run or pass, yet he ALWAYS makes the right read. That's a skill. A valuable one. 38 TDs 2 INTs.

Would you take Cam Newton right now? What type of offense did you think he ran at UF and Auburn? Do you think he even knew how to read a defense?

I'm iffy on cam, I don't believe he can read a defense either. Lately he's be really inaccurate too.

Its easy for Marcus to make the right decision, his WR are always open. Dennis Dickson looked great there too before he got hurt.

Your Pac-12 d-riding is flowing into this thread. I can post Dennis Dixon highlights if we want to go there. Oregon's offense makes QB's look better then they are a la Mark Sanchez until they run into real defenses.

Comparing the offense Luck had at Stanford to Mariota at Oregon is a joke. Marcus is an elite athlete who gets out of the pocket and then throws to open WR's. That is compleely different then what he will be asked to do when he will be in the pocket and asked to make multiple reads. I don't care if Jameis throws multiple interceptions, he makes throws I have never seen Marcus come close to making. And he is a big guy who can move a little when necessary as well. I think he's a far better prospect.

Jimbo will never survive in NY. It's a shame.
Put Marcus on Philly or Texans and he will shine

put him on the Jets mean.gif

Whichever QB we get, we gotta sit him for his rookie year, at the very least. Let him learn from Vick

"I've shown flashes of being a Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback," he said. "But what we're looking for here is consistency. The best teams have consistent quarterback play and I realize that and that's truly what I want to show to the fans and everyone outside the building."

Scout: Florida State's Jameis Winston is 'a nightmare'

It's not difficult to find NFL scouting concerns about Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston's off-field trouble.

» Scout's Take: Grading prospects in conference title games
But concerns about his play have come under greater scrutiny relatively recently -- and his performance has asked for it. One NFL scout doesn't have to glance at a single off-field issue before putting the Seminoles' Heisman Trophy winner's pro potential at arm's length, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Staying or going?
NFL.com's College Football 24/7 is tracking reports of college football underclassmen in anticipation for the 2015 NFL Draft. Underclassmen have until Jan. 15, 2015 to declare their intentions. READ

"I would be deathly scared to have him. He's so freaking inaccurate to start games," the scout said. "He's off the mark more than he's on. He has arm strength and a good delivery. He's a nightmare."

Winston, a third-year sophomore, has never lost a start in two seasons at FSU, and is two wins away from his second national title. But the flaws in his game have been far more apparent this year than last, when he passed for more than 4,000 yards with a 40-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He's thrown 17 picks this year, including 11 in his last six games. And the slow starts the scout referred to have resulted in halftime deficits for the Seminoles against five opponents: Miami, Louisville, Clemson, Notre Dame, and N.C. State. In all but the Clemson game, when he was suspended, Winston has responded with a hot second half to lead a comeback win.

But while one scout sees the worst of Winston's play, another sees the best of it.

"He has an uncanny ability to know what's around him and get himself out of trouble," another scout told the Journal-Sentinel. "He's not that impressive on some throws but he's the reason they're undefeated."

» Updated draft order, team needs
Winston will be eligible for the 2015 NFL Draft if he chooses to declare by the Jan. 15 underclassman deadline.

He and the Seminoles will face Oregon in the Rose Bowl Jan. 1 in a College Football Playoff semifinal. Winston recently was the subject of a school code-of-conduct hearing related to an alleged sexual assault for which Winston was not charged criminally.

So basically it's unknown how he'll turn out as a pro. Great journalism.

I want Winston as far away from the Jets as possible. He has Leaf/Jamarcus written all over him.

Geno is trash b

Even Carr played a better game than him Week 1 when you think about it

I'll take Vick for another year with a prospect under his wing
post #1374 of 5628
I'm totally fine with vick and a youngin with potential.
As long as that youngin is Marcus or Jameis I'm fine with it too.
