Homeowner shoots intruder who was not pregnant...

Why did the old man kill her if she was already wounded and had surrendered on the ground? Sounds like an execution to me.

It was an execution. He was wrong and it was not self defense. Had she decided to stay home that day instead of going out to attempt a robbery her and her unborn baby would still be alive. Her bad.

Holding up in court isn't what we're addressing.

"you can't just execute someone because you felt disrespected."

Who even said this?

Haha! You didn't say that verbatim. But you're implying that him executing her is ok because she violated/disrespected him by breaking into his home.

If that first shot killed would it of been ok?
She died because she broke into his home.
Breaking into someone's home is just disrespect? Saying that's just disrespect is like saying rape is just disrespect. C'mon bro

"You implied it" lol not at all

I've said multiple times that I don't have an issue with the first shot. If that shot kills her, then so be it.
Comparing this to rape? Smh! My car got broken into, i'm sure the feeling of being raped is way worse.

That's my point. You can't just call this disrespect. It's worse than that. That's down playing the situation. That's why this conversation with you has been a complete waste of time. You're just waiting to hear the answer you want and not even listening or understanding what's being said to you.

This topic has run it's course. Now we wait to see the back story of the robbers and if the girl was even pregnant.

Dude messed up by talking to the media the way he did. Thieves can't defend themselves if they're dead.

With that being said, if anybody ever breaks into my home, I'm putting multiple holes in their body.

Complete waste of time? Bruh, you act like you in here dropping gems or something. Haha! Nothing you have said has been worthwhile. Teaching someone a lesson = you disrespected me imo.

This is what's scary. Nothing you can do if your house is getting robbed . They can do it again and again. Who knows how many of them exist that will try to retaliate. I'll be in fear everyday and night.

Soon as I get my own crib I'm getting a gun license.

The kill shot obviously wasn't self-defense. He'll probably spend the rest of his life in jail.

But... I aint mad at him.

Nah, if he shot them on his property or in his house I would have no problem with this.

This is cut and dry.

He was wrong for murdering the woman when it wasn't necessary.

It was her own fault she got murdered.

Where's the confusion?

I think some of you are focusing too much on the "law" and not enough on morality as it pertains to what's right and wrong.

That's what I'm wondering. Where exactly was it? It says 'in the alley behind his house' did he own the alley? From the video it looked like it was right outside his garage.

I dunno about the law but ethically speaking what the old man did was wrong. It would be one thing if he happened to come upon them in his home and he shot them cause he doesn't know what going to happen. However, the robbers were retreating and the old man's life was no longer in danger. So that means he killed them because they robbed his house. I don't think a person deserves to die for that. Killing someone is only justifiable if your life is in danger. The standard for taking a life seems to be getting lower and lower.

Clearly you didn't bother to read the article

But this is niketalk so the robbers deserved it and if you think otherwise you're an idiot.

If the altercation was over and people were running, the lady told the dude she is pregnant, and he still shot her twice, he is messed up. I get it that you are in danger, but I'd probably think twice to end two lives at one, especially an innocent one.

His lawyer will just argue that he had to shoot to kill becuase if she didnt die( or wounded untill the point she could not get up) then she could turn around take the gun and kill her.

If I was a juror I would not send this man to jail.
