There's personal feelings, then there's the court of law.  At the end of the day the court of law rules out or overrules personal feelings.

What does one reap from killing a pregnant woman and child when they didnt have to? Had it been my child, he would definitely be having regrets.

Back to the topic at hand.

The fact you had no clue makes you look dumber than him. It was crystal clear, an absent comma maybe, crystal clear nonetheless.

I miss commas all the time but not when it completely changes how my post is supposed to sound.

You don't have to be a stickler for perfect grammar. Just aware of little things like that.

For the record I understood what he said. I can just also see how someone might not have been able to.

"A neighbor told KTLA-TV Channel 5 that the man had been robbed previously. "They literally tore down the front door," the neighbor said."

Old dude just lost it second time around. Would be interesting to know if he got the gun post first robbery.

We literally had no idea what he meant. So we asked him that we couldn't understand and if he could clarify. Then dude got butthurt and started going off.

Good grief, you might be the most sensitive dude I've come across in my 10 years here. 100% serious.

Just let it go. We literally tried being nice about it. No shots fired at all. And you're still getting hurt.

When I went in there, they tackled me," Greer told NBC4 Wednesday. "Both of them jumped up on top of me."

The intruders, a man and woman, may have underestimated Greer, he said, as they ransacked his safe and yanked the door open right in front of him.

The intruders threw Greer to the ground, but they didn't know he'd gotten his .22-caliber Smith and Wesson revolver.

"I come back and they see me with a gun, and they run," he said.

The man escaped, but the woman fell after being struck by Greer's gunfire in an alley behind the house.

"She says, 'Don't shoot me, I'm pregnant! I'm going to have a baby!' And I shot her anyway," Greer said.

When asked what he saw happen to the woman after he fired shots, Greer responded: "She was dead. I shot her twice, she best be dead ... (The man) had run off and left her."

yea this last part is extremely disturbing. burglary aside, he shoots her dead after she pleads for her life and her alleged baby's. and finishes it with good riddance.

sigh, we aren't anymore civilized than the "savagery" the media portrays in countries in the middle east, or africa. carry on with the gun debate/she had it coming debate.

I wouldn't say lock up grandpa Deuce, but like I said at the end of the day the court of law is what matters most, that is all I'm saying.  The jury might take my personal feelings into account if I was a witness for his trial, but the law is the law.

To me, he had every right to chase the woman down and perhaps even shoot her to keep her on the ground until the cops arrived.  Shooting to KILL her at point blank range however, when you yourself are not in danger and neither of you are on your property is where things can be a bit dicey for this elderly man.

I understood exactly what CashBanks said due to what Mr Marcus said before that and I don't even agree with his opinion in this thread.

If you're an adult of normal intelligence you can use context clues and understand what someone is saying/meant even if they don't use 100% correct punctuation.

Y'all some real nerds sometimes I swear.

But anyways to be on topic...

I'M AN 80 YEAR OLD MAN.

And you young whipper snappers gonna come in MY home, push me down, and Rob me. Then get mad when I use the great equalizer?

Think of it like that...

And you're gonna get convicted when you chase them down and use unwarranted, overwhelming force after the threat is gone.

No one is saying they're "mad," they're simply saying that killing someone that's already down after running away isn't exactly self-defense.

Why is this so hard to understand?

It's still under investigation because it's yet to be determined how far he chased the woman down...

...the chase is the part that harms him - if the assailant retreated, you're no longer defending yourself.

Depending on what the cops determine, he could either walk, or face voluntary manslaughter.

Son. My dude turned 40 years old twice. Most of us on this site are 10+ years away from turning 40 once, he too old for the fuk ish.

The only one I really feel sorry for is the ALLEGED unborn baby (still under speculation, could've just been saying it to save her own ***).

Now if it's really true that she was pregnant, THAT'S WHERE THE COURTS GET HIM. He could possibly get off with self defense for killing the woman but if they decide to count the unborn fetus as a life (which they should in my opinion) then yes he technically did commit murder.
