Is Hulu Plus worth it?

But what is the price of a show if you were to buy an episode on the online market. About .99 cents SD 1.99 HD. Plus the back catalog HBO provides. How much is The Wires series on DVD about 50-75? If you use it its worth while but it if its not maybe hulu can work for you. For me I need to have the most recent shows at the quickest convenience and only cable can provide that. Netflix does have ok original content but I have heard many people state they would pay $20 a month for HBO ala carte.

Okay but thats illegal. If we want to do it illegal whats the point of paying for any service besides internet? Also XBMC does not do live tv at cable quality and I highly doubt you know of any streams for premium channels. Yes for sports its more convenient but good luck finding a BET stream

It's infinitely better. Us Netflix has the worst streaming selection. You'll still pay for netflix, but you can switch back and forth between regions as much as you want.

Some of the stuff I've seen only on Canadian netflix

Fresh Prince
Bridesmaids
The internship (not necessarily good but still)
Happy Endings (this is the show that made me try out canadian netflix and it's well worth it)
Community
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Superbad
Brooklyn 99
Life of pi
Despicable Me

The list goes on

What if I told you....XBMC does play LIVETV in HD 720, has premium channels in HD, and BET HD 720 stream.  I'll post vid tonight.

Been about 5 years since I cut the cord. I use Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and my boy hooks me up with HBOGO. All of these serve their purpose and even with good internet, I'm saving tons of $$. Good info in the Cordcutter sub reddit or in the NT thread referenced a few pages up.

or you can use hola (chrome extension) which is free

but does it have the xbox support? i really don't like to stream things from my laptop. i prefer to run as much through my xbox as possible
 
No, it's a google chrome extension.

I just run it thru my HDMI cable.
