We've all done it. Predicted something in sports that you thought would happen or a player you predicted would be the next big thing. This thread is for if you care to share or even laugh at a sports prediction that you had that was waaaaaaay off. I'll start...

In 2010, coming off of a foot injury and not exactly being proved in college, I thought my Cavaliers should have drafted Derrick Williams over Kyrie Irving.... thought he's be like Scottie Pippen....

fast forward a few years... I was wrooooong

I can't be the only one that made a bad call here or there.

I said anthony davis was gonna bust
laugh.gif
i didn't say bust but didn't think he would be a starter so i damn sure didn't expect what he's doing now.

Thought this Tyreke Evans was headed for greatness.
Thought this whole Spurs thing would be done by now.

I was thought Mark Sanchez was going to be really good, I was looking okay after the first two seasons especially looking at the playoff games, then this happened

Man, with all the arguing I've done here I can't even count how many things I've been wrong about

The most recent thing I think I absolutely goofed on was: why did Kyrie get taken over kemba? Kemba was more proven than kyrie...

Whoops

I wasn't sold on John Wall, Kyrie Irving, or Anthony Davis being consistent all star level players.

I thought the 2012 Lakers would win 60-65 games.

I'm sure there's many others that are even worse.

My favorite will always be DoubleJs saying Greg Boone could be a first round pick.

I said that Monta Ellis was and would always be a better all around basketball player than Stephen Curry.  (Still think Monta is one of the more underrated players in the game though).

Iverson was always my all time fav player but finding out what kinda person he really was crushed me . So I wasn't as salty about the way his career ended as I used to be.

I thought jokim Noah was going to be a bust. Thought he would get pushed around in the NBA...

I thought mike Vick was going to be a top 5 QB in the l when I seen him in college...

UCLA fan didn't think k love would be as good as he turned out to be . Thought he was going to b a good NBA player at best.

felt Bynum was better then Dwight...

I was young and thought cade mcnown , skip hick were going to be solid players in the l

I am going to go against the grain on this one here, and say that you arent necessarily wrong yet.  Kyrie has proven that he cannot stay healthy, so in 5 years you may be able to look back at your statement and say you were right.

Psssssshhh, I have a ton.

I thought Logan Thomas was going to be a savage.
I thought LeBron had a legit chance at never winning a title.
I thought Mitch was one of the elite GM's in the NBA.
I thought Dwight was staying in LA.
I thought the 08 Cubs were going to do work in October.
I thought OKC would have a title or two by now.

Those are off the top of my head, I know I have plenty more I just need to be reminded about.

smh I can definitely attest to many Sports prediction blunders. One that is more recent that I can think of was that Aquille Carr wouldve been a beast by now in the NBA or at least College Basketball ...

i put waaaaay too much hope & faith into a bunch of players over the years... a lot of denial & disappointment along the way

I thought Beasley would be one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA. I mean look at this dog

All that as a freshman

After watching CDR in the tourney I thought he was underrated as a pro prospect, and would have a better NBA career than D.Rose
