Long Distance relationship.. Really that difficult?

Man, a 30 min drive is far enough for me

That's what I gradually learned. After awhile, 6 hour drives just to see somebody for 3-4 days starts to be a burden instead of excitement and anticipating. It became a job more than anything.

Easily doable. If you (and her) think it's worth it, things will work out.
You make it sound so simple. They can think it is worth it and it can fail.

Hell, anybody that tried AND failed probably thought it was worth it.

How far is DC and NY?

My main yamb is 2 hours away...

I think that the perfect distance is 45 minutes travel time

Yes.

Did it, we hated it. She ended it.

Did it again (another realationship), hated it. We moved in with each other a few years ago. Now im tired of seeing her all the damn time

@bhergh  sorry champ

past like 40-50 years old, i want all my relationships to be long distance. A chick in every city that i visit.

Long distance international relationships are underrated IMO

my mother lives in chicago and my father lives in MD...they see each other every other month or so...seems to work for them theyve been doing it for the better part of 10 years or so...

You can try to master the art of that far away love.. but only so much can keep a woman warm.

We've been living in a cold, cold world.

DC to NY. Very cool chick, probably an 8/10. You all could see each other every weekend if you wanted to(bus up, bus down).

Could you do it? And for how long if so. Both of your careers are keeping you in your respective areas for the foreseeable future.

DC to NY isnt bad at all. Because they can see each other every weekend.

I'm doing this right now. It's not bad at all. I'm in DC she's in NY. Lives in NYC but goes to school upstate near my parents home so I visit them if she's busy or something. Don't see eachother for two weeks or so but when we do we spend a whole weekend or more together without any distractions. Just time for us to be together and enjoy ourselves which is nice. When we are apart we still talk every day but I can focus on myself, career, gym, and save money. I actually prefer it this way at this point in my life. Nice change of pace after just getting out of a two year relationship where I saw the girl almost every day.
