the price is all marketing. Xi is the most thought after, so they pretty much get away with whatever they want to charge. hell, i even bought two pair of 72-10 with only intended for 1 pair.

Yes, I know the original 11s had a higher patent leather cut but three-quarter has nothing to do with the patent leather cut it has to do with shoe height.

yes, and I am talking about the height of the shoe itself. the height difference is about 3/8 inch. they did the same thing with the Xii as well when they retroed.
so long as the price stays at $250. If XIs reach $300 I'm done. Paying $300 for XIs would def push them out of the forefront. There's no way the masses will spend more money on shoes than a new phone or even a game system
Of course they shorten the height of some of the models the 4s, 11s, 12s, and more.
