I was going to comment on that "What if" article and breakdown everything wrong with it but I'd rather do something more productive like fiddle my thumbs.

Dude trying to calm the masses when the head of the CDC don't even know how those 2 nurses got infected.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Tom Frieden admitted to a House panel on Thursday that officials still don’t know exactly how two nurses contracted Ebola from Thomas Eric Duncan, the first man to be diagnosed with the virus in the U.S.

People in the health care industry know damn well pathogen virus particles can be transmitted via airborne infection.

The only way to stop the spread of ebola is not let anyone from a connecting flight from Africa or parts of African affected by this into the u.s and Europe.

Close travel from african until it could be controlled

Stop bringing in all these theories and conspiracies, Let's talk facts here.

You do realize that there are sanctions in place that prohibit anybody from entering the US without being medically checked for diseases/virus's and such things right?

So your probably asking well how did it make it's way into the US? Because Ebola is something that those sanctions were NOT aware of thus they never checked for it.

Guess what US Customs is now checking for?

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but wanted to share this PBS Frontline documentary with you guys.  The youtube video is to the first 10 minutes of this 27 minute documentary that can be found in its entirety on the pbs website.  It details how the medical aid group Doctors Without Borders handled the early stages of this outbreak in Sierra Leone.  Possibly the most frightening documentary I have seen in a while:

You can't identify Ebola in its early stages. Reason why the man from Dallas got to the States. They are only checking for individuals who have a fever, abnormal temps, or if they have recently traveled to West Africa, usually by just asking them. Those are only the few things to base off of for screening people who potentially have it.

There could be many more cases in the US but luckily there isnt because honestly...how reliable is this method if you can't even tell if a certain individual has it before it develops?
