Stephen A. Smith Apologizes about Domestic Violence Views

So... what's the problem? He didn't say anything wrong. Women do sometimes provoke men. Sometimes by hitting them first...although he didn't articulate that. But, I do agree that men shouldn't hit women, but women shouldn't be hitting men either. I'm so sick of society acting like it's ok for women to hit men because it doesn't "hurt" us as much. Smh!
Hell, look at Jay z and Solange... people were saying Jay must've provoked her. Haha!
I was out one night and a drunk lady who was belligerent pushed me and tried to fight me. Police walked in the bar ready to arrest me. Haha smh! Oh, nothing happened to the lady either. But if I would've pushed her...

If a female comes at a dude with a knife, her hand, or any other thing that could inflict harm on a dude. Is that not provoking?

How many times have we heard an athlete going out with the boys, he comes home to have a pissed off skeezer flayling a knife at him and HE gets into trouble?

His skin color plays a big part in this. Let's not overlook that....

... and if you're tire of everything turning into a race issue, address it and do something about it.

Probably...Haha! In my post, I didn't want to mention that I'm black and the lady was white. That possibly played a part. In terms of how the police reacted.

embrace debate

but seriously, espn made stephen a. in the end it's about a paycheck. he'd still be writing for philly inquirer if it wasnt for the break they gave him

Cause Stephen A. and his career couldn't possibly have progressed along other avenues right. :rolleyes

I clearly understood what he was saying last week. I don't think he had to apologize about anything but I do respect what he had to say this morning. Stephen A always seems like a stand up dude.

That was stupid and he shouldn't have had to apologize. He made a similar statement before and didn't have to make an apology. Doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, if you do something to antagonize someone then they might hit you. Not saying it's right or wrong but getting hit is a possible outcome.
Yup

He was completely right when he was speaking on Evelyn's trife ***

Not a peep was said about that

It sucks his own co worker of the network basically set him up. She took it way out of context.

Plus

He said this in 2012 and no one said a word, now all of a sudden it's a problem? Yeah sure

because Michelle Beadle took issue with it..

When talking about Evelyn... The subject was a ratchet reality star...

Did anyone notice that he seemed reserved today? He is off the radio show for a few days, wonder if that has anything to do with the new contract that he signed with Mad Dog...

Saw nothing wrong with what he said....

He did it cause of the Check
He coulda also worded it better to be pc
But on some real to real not caring about being pc
He was right

I was listening to him on Thursday afternoon on the radio where he initially made these comments. He even prefaced it saying something like "this could get me into trouble". He knew it. :smh:

He probably quitting and dont really care anymore
Probably why he was reserved
I know my last days at my other job I gave 0 damns

Beadle is a perfect representation of what's wrong with an overly pc America.

Stephen A Smith says something she takes exception to. Rather then be a mature responsible adult and have a private 1 on 1 conversation with Stephen A where she can voice her opinion like an adult, she has to stoop to publicly shaming him and getting him unnecessary controversy.

That's that, he said something I don't like, let me throw a tantrum and get him in trouble rather then contact that person in private like an adult weenie passive mindset

Slight rustle with that last statement...

Walk away? Like most guys don't?

That reads "whatever a woman does, walk away"

Like... Wth?

Can someone get some UNBIASED stats on provoked abuse? I'm pretty sure that number is great...

And not even verbal. I'm talking straight physical...

I'm sure more women start off by hitting guys than guys just kicking chicks *****

Why is this topic such a hot debate?

Like what's going on in the world that men putting their hands on women is actually a "debate" right now?

I seriously dislike Beadle and everything she represents.  If YOU put YOUR hands on a dude, YOU are provoking him.  Stephen A. Smith said nothing wrong and I won't even listen to his apology.
