First time flying by myself

Only thing I hate about flying are the delays.

Other than that, I'd fly to work if I could.

I used to do this. Then I started flying regularly, and didn't want to look like country-boy-ain't-never-had-****-just-glad-to-be-here anymore.

Look like somebody. Wear sweats and a tee.

Seriously, dress comfortably. It's a slim-to-none chance you gonna be smashing on the plane or at the airport. Plus, you look like you do this all the time.
I flew as a dependent so it was mandatory that I dress nice. Had to represent for my mom.
But yes, being comfortable is what it's about. As for smashing you'd be surprised bruh. The family bathroom at the terminal always has a latch to lock...

Airports are a great place to meet women. A great place.

Not a mile high member yet but I did finger a broad in the back row one time, and also smashed a flight attendant that I picked up on the flight. Dated a chick for about six months that I met at the airport too. Yambs were of the best quality. Plenty more stories like these too. Yambs get moist at airports. Not sure what it is.

So yeah, I'd dress reasonably nice.

Get to the airport early enough to have time to check in, but not so early that you're bored in the airport waiting to board.

Take a **** before you go to the airport. You don't want to get hit with the bubble guts up in mid air.

Wear shoes that you can keep the laces loose so it's an easy on-off at security. Also, depending on what you're packing, try to wear all your heaviest items, shoes included, so you're not lugging it around in the bag.

Use those small liquid containers for toiletries and skip the dop-kit if you're flying, keep it all In a big Ziploc bag and pack it last. Depending on the airport they might want your toiletries packed that way and out of the bag when you do security.

Also, maybe not now in the summer but other times if year when you have at least a jacket, put your phone, keys, watch, wallet, etc in the jacket pockets while you're waiting in the security line. Makes it faster at the start and more importantly at the end of the check when you're trying to get your stuff together. Also, you do want to dress nice, flugt attendants will be a little nicer to you, but if you can wear jiggers or something that doesn't require a belt it makes the security process way easier.

The middle seat gets both arm rests. It's just kind of an unspoken rule and common courtesy. If you're in the middle try to sit that way from the start but just know that not everybody knows or follows this so don't get too heated if someone in the window seat is hogging up your arm rest.

Take a leak before boarding. Not like you can't just go to the bathroom but it's easier if you don't have to.

Don't wear anything too high-top or stiff around the ankles. Like Jordan IVs would be bad cause when you're sitting on the plane and stretch your legs the back tabs will just dig into your ankles. I made the mistake once of rockin Timbs on a 6-hour flight.

If you want the beverage cart service your tray should be down. They usually ask anyway but it just let's them know easier ahead of time which rows to hit next.

Fapping in the bathroom of the plane mid flight does not get you into the mile-high club.

A neck pillow or a comfortable jacket that can convert.

I usually try to sleep my flights away. Still get jittery until we're close to landing. :smh:

2 two hour flight, you'll be good.

Lol seriously. This Saturday, I'm about to have 2 eight hour flights with a layover in between.

And I can never sleep on flights for some reason, so I'll be up 24+ hours.

I've flown alone several times because for work trips. I like to think I have a lot of experience in this space.

The first thing I do whenever I fly is ask the flight attendant for 2 Jack and Cokes and to keep them coming every half-hour. Also, you want to make sure you're wearing comfortable clothing, because if you're going to be up in the air for an extended period of time and have connections, you'll want to be as comfortable as you possibly can.

For entertainment, I've always brought my laptop filled with a ton of movies with me and a really good pair of noise canceling headphones (Bose QC15).

Make sure your carry-on fits the space dimensions regulations of the airlines and avoid liquids at all cost, especially if all you have is a carry on.

Also, if you're flying for 12+ hours--it's totally worth it to fly business class. If you can afford it, I'd say go for it.

EDIT: Just read you'll be flying for only 2 hours. This is an EASY flight. Just pop in a movie or listen to your iPod. Some other people just sleep.

Be sure to poop before getting on the plan and watch what you eat before.

Last year not going to lie I took a red eye home from LA and had the worst case of bubble guts. Took a fat dump on the plane. Was super embarrassed.

Bring a light jacket for a pillow, or to rock if it gets chilly. Planes to warm climates stay at subzero temps

No need to ever check a bag. You get two carryons. A duffle and back pack for most guys is all you need.

Be nice it the FA she might give you free liq. If she does a tip doesn't hurt.

Dress comfortable but presentable. Always joints in the airport. ALWAYS

Make sure you have all your chargers for everything and they're all charged before you get to the airport.

If you're not picky about skin care just use whatever toiletries are available at your hotel. Just pack deodorant and your toothbrush.

Check the weather of wherever you're going.

Airport floor is disgusting wear shoes with socks or at least put on socks when you take off your shoes through security. It may not seem like a big deal but all those people walking through the same screening lanes with no shoes on grosses me out.

Real talk, if it's a Southwest flight or one where you chose where you sit.... Try to sit right next to the baddest broad on the plane.

I always fake it for theatrical purposes ( I imagine you will be more authentic), but when the plane starts to move, start to look a lil uneasy (look around a lot), then when you hit the runway, act a little more shaken up (subtly move around in your seat a bit) then come takeoff time, grab onto both your armrests and glance over at the dime sitting next to you (almost like your embarrassed to be lookin like that in front of her). If all goes as planned, she will look back, sometimes even hold your hand to ease your nerves... And just like that the plane ride just got a lot smoother.

Nothing calms the nerves like good game thrown at new yambs.

this is terrible advice.

2 2hr flights should be a breeze. like others have said, dress comfortably. bring a light jacket/sweater in your backpack just in case you get too cold on the plane. if you get motion sickness take some dramamine. if you want you can get the ones that make you sleepy and you can just sleep through the flight.

if you plan to sleep, don't take the aisle seat. the people getting up in your row, the flight attendants with the drink cart, or the people walking through the aisle to get to the bathrooms often times brush you as they go by and it will most likely wake you up.

ipod/ipad with music and movies is nice. you can be that dude and put on movies with the subtitles so your neighbor can watch as well.

be friendly and act like you've done it before. no one wants to sit next to someone who looks like they're about to have a panic attack.

Dress comfortably.

Bring your ipad with music and movies.

Never be afraid to spark conversation with someone, cause you never know who you'll meet; but remember the international symbol of "don't talk to me" is someone with headphones on.

Always sit in the lounge.

:smokin

Since I'll be bringing a carry on in the plane do i need to go on that line?

I can check in to my flight online and print out the ticket 24 hours before takeoff

So i can just walk right to security?

If you have a check in, put all your soap/lotions/mouthwash/liquids in there, so you dont have to mess around with 4oz bottles for a week.  When I fly, i just try and sleep before take off, so i can wake up when we getting our snacks/drinks or when we landing.  Unless you the type to take instagram pictures of airplane wings or clouds, or some ****, just sleep through it, its just flying.  Wake up at your destination well rested.

Yeah. Print your ticket & go to security. Don't even bother with a belt or putting stuff in your pockets until after you've gone through security

I hate eating before a flight, my stomach is shaky

Seeing people in Applebees or TGIF eating beef before a flight :x
