i am fully behind the purchase of Laporte... dude is a stud and will be one of the best CB's in a couple yrs.. If we are looking at hummels he would be very similar in the fact they both read the game well but lack pace..

I haven't seen Jozy much but outside of 1 or 2 performances he hasn't impressed me much, on several stages.

I also think it's time we stop treating all US players like they are lucky to be breathing the same air as others. On the overall the MLS ain't the greatest and individually our players aren't stars but these guys have been holding their own in various competitions. We'll never be a superpower but progress has been made. These German/U.S. hybrids have lots of promise.

Of all the money Liverpool spent in the summer transfer window, Bony should've been the first purchase once Hannibal was gone. Instead, they try & buy Balo on the cheap & prove the old adage, "you get what you pay for".

Whoever is in charge of the "transfer committee" that Liverpool has should not even be allowed to help run a youth club. I love the way this guy plays.

Edit - I think he'll be hard for Barca to handle defensively if they face him in the CL. Dude is big, ox strong, & fast.

It's great to see an owner tell the Prem teams sniffing around to eff off. Kudos to Roma owner James Pallotta in keeping Strootman & Pjanic.

No one has really talked about it, but the club has made very shrewd moves in the transfer market. Two summers ago, they sold Marquinhos, Erik Lamela, & Bojan while bringing in Strootman, Benatia, & Gervinho.

Last summer, they sold Benatia who expressed his wish to leave & brought in Kostas Manolas to replace him as well as Juan Iturbe & Radja Nainggolan all the while closing the gap on Juve's lead at the top of the Serie A table...

NEWS: Hatem Ben Arfa will NOT be eligible to play with French club OGC Nice, due to having played with Hull City and Newcastle (one reserve game) this season.
