Bale has made some bad passes lately though. But it happens.
You're being very nice. Bale has been terrible lately. This match was just another poor performance.

I still remember when people were saying bale was a better signing than Neymar.

Commentator on my feed made it seem like Madrid were losing the entire match and pulled one goal back in the 90th.

Saying Ancelotti is really on thin ice.

That Madrid just aren't at the standard they should be.

I feel like it was a bit much, not giving enough credit to Shalke who played very well.

Real fans getting restless

Ronaldos face tells the story. Bale has been poor. Defence is so shakey. Scary to think it's the same team that won it less than 10 months ago.

They're through yes, but they won't progress any further if this continues.

Saying that Schalke and Hunterlaar were fantastic tonight, also, Sane was a revelation. 19 years old and running it away at RM :smokin

Real Madrid really are in crisis mode, I can't wait to read the filth the Spanish papers spew. What a game tho, even if I didn't watch most of it. Boy was I wrong about telling ya'll to watch the Porto game.

It isn't just tonight though eiddy, since the turn of the year they have been a shadow of the side they can be.

I hear you 100% cause I've seen the shaky defence. I guess my issue is listening to someone go on and on about one team's poor performance, as if there weren't two teams out there playing.

Credit to Shalke cause they took their chances, and scored some great goals as well, away at the Bernabeu.

And if Ancelotti is on thin ice, exactly who do they intend on bringing in? :nerd:

Yeah, Ronnie looked pissed standing at the center of the pitch as the whistles came down heavy. Iker tried to gather the team center pitch for the supporters but I don't think the Madrid team did it...

If schalke didn't concede the equalizer before halftime, they would have advanced. They had the momentum

Bale has looked absolutely useless at the right wing

just because he's a lefty doesn't make him Messi or Robben. He hasn't shown that ability to cut inside.

Ancelotti needs to find a way to get him on the left side so he can just do his thing and get a head of steam to run down the wing. I know he was brought in to ideally have a lefty ronaldo on the right side of the flank, giving a lethal counter attacking trident, but Bale just hasn't show that ability. Dude can still be world class though if used the right way. Just got to find a way to do that without interfering with Ronaldo on the left side.

Bale will never have that ability, that technique - that's what Real wanted but will never get. I'm not sure what his best position is. If he does play on the left he'd be even worse at cutting in because he has a terrible weak foot. I'd just imagine crosses all day coming from him.

Maybe they should try him as striker? He played that on Spurs, right? Give him a chance at that position before they dump him on United.

Benz fits in too well at striker though with his hold up play and movement. Idk man hopefully the answer to Gareth Fail is as simple as getting his old Spurs mate Luka Modric back.
