Sucks because Bale is genuinely a really nice humble dude, you almost feel bad for him when you're critical.

But England is really rallying behind him during this tough time in the news and I'm sure he notices, It'll be a matter of time before he goes back. We'll always remember the galloping run he had when he blew past Barta in the Cup Final. By far his best moment.

I'll be rooting for him back in the EPL, hope it's Chelsea, City, or United. But he def needs to go, he's just not good enough. Reus :nerd:

Madrid played best with Bale on the bench. He really needs to go back home man to United and be a God. He's such a great player, but there's a number of factors at Madrid that isn't conducive to him being great.

Marca have savaged Bale today. "It's obvious Perez has paid €100m for someone worth €20m. They've bought a car for the price of a bike."
Damn

,I really do hope he leaves. He's become their scapegoat as if the rest of the team hasn't also underperformed lately. Most of these ungrateful Real fans don't deserve to have all that talent.

Dude really just doesn't fit though. Idk if he did it at Tottenham or not, but in the CL and La Liga he can't play on the right wing. Doesn't have the Messi/Robben-like ability or awareness from there to cut onto his left foot, make the correct runs, be in the right place, and hold up/create plays. I think he'd be great on the left wing taking on defenders and either dribbling and getting into the box or whipping in crosses with his left foot. But Ronaldo is the best left winger on the planet. And Benz has been great as a CF.

Dude needs to be experimented with in the midfield. He just needs to find his defensive work rate again and I think he can play really well there. Bet he'd kill it timing incisive runs from there.

Come home, Gareth! If Real Madrid don't want Bale, the Premier League will have him back

Transfer Rumors
- Chelsea, Manchester United and City all watched Mauro Icardi in action for Inter on Sunday. The trio, and Atletico Madrid, are considering a summer move for the forward who is valued at £22m
- Man City still pondering summer move for Atletico Madrid’s Simeone even if Simeone may this week sign a new deal to remain at the Vicente Calderon until the summer of 2020
- Bayern Munich remain interested in Raheem Sterling
- Arsene Wenger is keen to bring Monaco winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco to Arsenal
- Manchester United sent their chief scout to watch Lazio's Felipe Anderson as he scored against Verona, though the Serie A outfit are likely to demand £30 million
- Juventus step up interest in Falcao
- Frustrated Lampard set to end loan deal early
- Manchester United are fearing a "worst-case scenario" with David De Gea rebuffing their contract offers, with the Red Devils unsure as to whether to allow him to leave for free next summer.

Someone like Varane should be part of the deal then.

He started out at left back at Soton but ended up moving to mf then left wing with Spurs where he was even more dominant after.

I agree,he'd probably more suited to a mf role as you said instead of playing the right flank

The fact that Gareth Bale started off and was trained as a left-back explains a lot tho. Let's all be honest

The types of things Real fans expect from him (the Robben, Ronaldo, Messi moves) he never had them, they were training with that type technique since diapers to the point it became natural. Can't really blame Bale actually, it's too late.

I do want to see him at United bull-dozing and hitting laser beams like he did at Spurs. Maybe he'll never be able to dribble but he has a rocket of a left foot.

Bale's fast enough where I'm sure if he even worked on basic dribbles he'd be "better". Though even learning basics is hard at this point.

Wasn't expecting this...

BREAKING: FA charge @LFC defender Martin Skrtel with violent conduct for challenge on David De Gea. #SSNHQ

Tell me they gave him a Wet Willie

I know Skrtel is dirty but it didn't really look like he broke stride or modified his gate to step or De Gea. I don't know how they can decide he meant that unless they base it on him being a known Goon. The ol Pepe law.

I did, based on post game analysis from pundits. They were all saying he should be charged afterwards cause it was obviously deliberate.

^ Ah... we don't get the post-game analysis...

But after watching this a few times, to me, it looked intentional.  You could tell he shorten his stride when he was about to run into Jones, but then took a slightly longer lunge towards DDG.

 what?

Come on man. What do you think he's done for the past 15 years of his life? Neglected working on dribbling and dynamic technique?

Bale is who he is. He's loooooong reached the point of diminishing returns when it comes to developing technically.

Phenomenal player. World class athlete, looks worse than he is technically and tactically when standing next to the best players on the planet.
