Doubt it's the case for their fan bases but like you said, Citeh is wealthier and has had more recent success
Recent yes but a bigger club isn't based upon money, trophies and history are huge factors. You mention underachieving, right? How's city done in Europe with the squad they have and all the money invested? Arsenal will finish above them this season too, that's underachieving.

All that may be true but the case could be made that they've become an even bigger club in recent years. The Gunners haven't done that much better in Europe either.

Also there are exceptions to the rule, just look at PSG and Chelsea after getting billionaire investments for example

looks like it's the two respective ties against Valencia for both Barca and Real that's shaped the outcome of the league

that first half Valencia dominated against Barca and couldn't come up with a single goal was a defining moment of the campaign for me

and then it's the first half against Madrid...Real striking the post so many times, Valencia getting 2 against the run of play.

Football can be a cruel game. Don't remember being that into a match since the CL final. Reminds me how much I love this team despite zero affiliation to Madrid

Time to channel that fight for the whole 90 against Juve. No matter how tired the legs might be.

If you don't believe this a business than I don't know what to tell you. Right now city is a bigger club.

0 trophies in how many years for arsenal? THats underachieving.

lol yup 2006 Champions League final still haunts me. Don't mean to turn this into a who's bigger argument but I just believe Pep would be a great fit for Arsenal whenever Wenger steps down.

won the FA cup last season... In the final again this season so if they win that's 2 for 2.... City went what 46 years without the title..

Ah yes the Jens Lehmann meltdown game  . Pep would be a pretty good fit almost anywhere tbh outside of maybe Atletico

I understand it's a business and I don't know if you're aware but Arsenal financially are one of the strongest in the world.. Their brand is huge. I just don't find a club to be big when their fanbase was created in 2009

That was one of the few Barca teams I didn't have a problem cheering for . Sol Campbell was always respected by me as well,no matter if he was Gooner  :smokin

You forgot penaldos missed penalty

I don't think you can just put it on that. The league is never won in a single game.
I think it's reals terrible defense. The lack of a holding midfield has cost them.
They have let in 15 more goals than barca. They have spent so much money on attacking players.
Barcas investments have been well balanced. RB, 3 CB's, Box to box midfielder, and Suarez.
Modric, Kroos, James, Isco, are a very soft midfield. Illara isn't ready yet and they've killed his confidence.
CDM is a very difficult position especially for very attack minded clubs. Real tries to throw Ramos in their to clean up their problem but it's apparent he can not play that position.

La Liga was basically just decided and u guys are discussing this peasantry

There's not much to talk about now then am I right?

Atletico-Barca should be interesting though,Reals defense really let them down this season and Casillas hasn't been any help either :lol:{

Of course no 38 match campaign is ever decided on just 1 or 2 matches, but just saying the matches I'll remember most.

I don't even know if that midfield was that soft even without a true holding player, but for a team that was pegged to have too much depth, especially in the midfield, the chemistry just seemed to plummet when starters went down. Especially when just one man in Modric was out.

Oh and **** Ronaldo's individual competition with Messi for goals, this dude better never take a free kick within 30 yards again when Kroos and Bale/James are all in the match.

And that missed penalty by him too. I know he's got alpha dog status and it would never happen, but something in me was saying he needs to let Bale take it. Don't know the stats, but he's been subpar from the spot this season.

Eliminated by Barca Twice and being in group stages with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Dortmund in their prime in previous years is so easy right? I don't even remember the last time Arsenal had a tough bracket. Monaco should just be a reminder that Arsenal isn't any better than Citeh in European play.

And yes Arsenal has more trophies and a deeper history but at this point and time, City is worth more due to our recent success.

Kun Aguero and Silva in form >
Sanchez, Cazorla/Ozil in form
all day everyday.
