Sepp Blatter is planning to UN-RESIGN after receiving support from African and Asian football federations, claim Swiss media

Sepp Blatter may seek to stay on as the president of FIFA, a Swiss newspaper quoted an anonymous source close to Blatter as saying on Sunday. The report comes less than two weeks after Blatter resigned as head of the world soccer organisation.
The Schweiz am Sonntag newspaper said it had information that Blatter had received messages of support from African and Asian football associations, asking him to rethink his decision to step down.
Blatter was honoured by the support and had not ruled out remaining in office, the anonymous source told the paper.

FIFA did not immediately reply to an emailed request from Reuters for comment on the newspaper story.
Blatter said on June 2 he would step down as FIFA president in the wake of a corruption investigation, having led soccer's world governing body since 1998.

FIFA is expected to pick his replacement at an emergency meeting in Zurich in December.
Blatter's renewed interest in the job was also a reason for the departure of Walter de Gregorio as FIFA's director of communications, since he had argued for a completely new start and advised Blatter to go, the Swiss newspaper said.
De Gregorio declined to comment to the newspaper.

@barcastuff Everton are close to signing Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu (21), who's back from a loan at Sevilla. Transfer fee would be 4M. [dailymail]

According to our colleagues at Foot Mercato, AS Monaco have reached an agreement with Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem to sell them 21 year old central midfielder Morgan Kamin.

The young Frenchman played for Monaco’s reserve team last season and is expected in Belgium for medical tests on Monday.

Charly Musonda’s father as told Belgian publication La Dernière Heure that AS Monaco are interested in his son, Chelsea’s 18 year old attacking midfielder.

According to Musonda’s father, Monaco have been trying to convince his son to join them “since January”, but the problem is that Chelsea do not want to sell outright. They would prefer to loan the player to a first division European side where he plays regularly, something that cannot be guaranteed by Monaco.

However, Chelsea’s pursuit of Falcao leaves some power in Monaco’s hands, will it be Musonda who comes the other way?

According to Le Parisien journalist Mathieu Grégoire, Newcastle United have enquired about the availability of Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.

OM need to sell a player before the end of the month in order to balance the books.

According to L’Équipe, West Ham United and Everton are interested in signing Marseille man Dimitri Payet this summer.

Both Everton and West Ham have made discreet enquiries for the French international who finished up as the league’s top assist maker for the 2014/15 campaign. More undoubtedly to follow.

AC Milan "convinced" they'll close a deal for Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to Sky Italia. Player wants €3m a year, Monaco €30m, they claim.

Juventus have met with agent Jorge Mendes and are close to reach a deal to sign Brazil U20 captain Danilo. [a bola]

:smh: I wonder what will become of Bartra this off season? He & Sergi Samper are the finest players to come out of La Masia in a while. I hope they can get loaned out to good teams instead of being sold.

Rumor is Roma set to sign Edin Dzeko...

Why Luiz is starting over Silva is beyond me, dude just kills me with his decision making. Alves out there with some nice deliveries in the first half. Willian looked good too. :smh: to Felipe Luis getting a little greedy though, should have taken the first opportunity or dumped it off to Tardelli. Peru playing well though, should be an exciting second half.

i think thiago is hurt

He returned for the friendly against Honduras. He'll return for the Colombia match

I thought that too but then remembered he did play against Honduras. Dunga has to be at least thinking about playing him against Colombia.

How did that ball find its way through 5 defenders?

I was wondering the same thing, hell of a ball or horrible defending...either way great match. The referee was definitely letting a lot of things slide.

Match was super entertaining

Someone needs to post a vine/gif of Neymar looping the ball back and forth over 2 defenders
